Great PC!

- Have Had To Bring Into Best Buy For Minor/Major Hardware Issues (CD-Burner Replacement, Hard Drive Replacement).

BEWARE OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT!

Pros:
1. Huge Hard Drive
2. Media Card Reader
3. 5 USB Ports (Could Use More, But Plenty For Most People)
4. 2 Firewire Ports (Mainly For iPods/External Hard Drives)

Cons:
1. Loud Fan
2. Website And Technical Support Is Troubling
3. Needs A Bigger Video Card
4. Needs A More Powerful Power Supply

Pros: Performed well for almost a year; not long enough!
Cons: Warranty repair facility is totally disorganized.

I own a very similar model, 256KB ram and 180 Gig hard drive; it actually is a pretty good computer, but beware of sending to Ohio for warranty work. The nightmare began in December 2003; after three months of waiting for a part, they finally agreed to repair it using a part taken from another machine. However, the machine they sent back was not mine; after waiting another three weeks while they searched for my computer, they finally admitted to losing my computer. The scary part came a couple of days ago at work when I noticed a fellow employee carrying a Medion laptop. I asked how it was; he had also sent his laptop to Ohio for warranty work and was returned not one, but two computers - I'm guessing that perhaps someone out there is enjoying his as well as my computer. I will avoid buying this brand in the future.
