Konica Minolta DiMAGE A2 Digital Camera

Pros: Picture quality, battery life, video duration and the anti shake is great. Huge abilities.
Cons: If any, sometimes my fingers unintentionally engage other control switches, oops.

I have had this camera for two weeks. I spent the first week reading the instruction manual and looking at the camera. I have been taking pictures this last week and am very pleased with the results. I haven't used all the features yet, just point and shoot so far. I am an anxious to use the portrait, sunset and night portrait subject programs on this camera. I cannot complain about the battery charge duration. Everyone that has seen this camera likes the pictures, color is very good, subjects are clear and life like. All I need now is a good photo printer.

Cons: Picture quality (zoom in to find out how much quality there really is)

I just got my DiMage A2, and I love the controls. They are easy and intuitive. This is the very first camera I have ever purchased. However, I am having trouble with getting a clear image, they all seem slightly blurry, and when I zoom in on the RAW image in the DiMage software, the noise looks extremely high. My brother's Coolpix 5700 can take a shot of one of our cats, zoom in to the photo taken of the cat, and have each hair well defined and not pixelated. So far the RAW images from my Minolta that I have taken of our cats have shown that, when zoomed in to the picture, that you cannot distinguish each hair (blurred together). Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Let me know (nakranir@nc.rr.com)

The Minolta DiMAGE A2 Digital Camera produces crisp images, is functional and carries an excellent package of features that otherwise would be very pricey to obtain.
