Pros: Excellent picture (clarity, color, brightness). Great looking set. 65"!!!
Cons: Pricey. Weak speakers. Ridiculously heavy. Better stuff for less money in couple of years?
This is my first review on Epinions. Today is 29-Apr-2004. We've had this TV for about 2 months now. Bought it from GoodGuys for $4200 (MSRP $4999) because we bought another $3500 worth of additional stuff. I'm quite on the border of whether I should ...
Pros: 3 CV inputs @ 1080i, Net command, Ieee1394,DVI,9" crt's. Cons: Flap for Card reader is difficult to close.
The Mitsubishi Diamond (WS65913/ WS55813) for 2004 is probably the best rear projection TV on the market today. The 9" CRT guns are unsurpassed. The Net Command system works extremely well if you know how to set it up. The High definition tuner that is ...
STILL the best picture compared to 2007 HDTV's! by sqconstable ,Dec 04 '07
Pros: Still looks better than any new HDTV right now! Cons: deep, tall (stand built-in), but there's a reason...
I have owned this TV since 2003. This weekend I gave it to my parents since I was making an "upgrade" to a WD-65734 DLP. Boy was I wrong... everything looks pixelated, jagged, undefined, and lifeless on the new 65734 and there's NO comparison with picture quality between these two models. Even higher priced 834 series DLP's couldn't hold a match to the 65813's quality, even though the 813 is an older set. It is obvious that Mitsubishi has taken a step backwards in regards to quality when making their newer DLP's. I'm not so sure I want to keep this 65734 now after being spoiled with the 65813's lifelike picture. Although it is only 15.4" deep (compared to the 65813's 28.25" depth), I've come to realize that nothing new these days can truly compete with a rear projection CRT like the 65813. The wheel can't be reinvented here. Nothing will beat the quality of the 65813 still.
Just bought my first Widescreen 65813 by badrich1994 ,Jan 26 '04
Pros: Awesome picture quality, easy remote to use, and looks good in the black glossy finish. Cons: Built in HDTV receiver and Net command could be better
Overall the TV is a great TV. I got it delivered and installed and plugged all of the units to it in about three hours. The remote control is easy to use and can control almost everything very easily. The Netcommand is not very easy to set up. I tried twice and gave up. It was easier to use the remote control. The TV is very bright and provides excellent picture quality. The built in HDTV receiver is not the greatest though. I installed the Hughes HDL-LT HD receiver and plugged into the TV's DVI input. The picture quality was superb and better than plugging directly into the HD input on the TV.
