Monitor Audio Silver S2

Pros: Good build, resolution, imaging and performance, biggest bang for buck. Cons: Sometimes slightly hooty cabinet depending on listening material.
I have owned these speakers for 2 years now and am quite pleased.I used to own B&W CDM1NT's($600Cdn more per pair),very nice as well.I find the silvers to sound as good but better in dynamics and fuller bass. Both have excellent depth and imaging. The silvers took longer to burn in(approx.100 hours) than the B&W's and was well worth the wait. The slight harshness in the highs smoothed out considerably after about 60 hours of moderate play. They do like power and respond wonderfully. An alternate choice to the Silver S2 is the Silver S1.Two to three hundred cheaper and possibly image better due to smaller cabinet, but sound quality the same.
