Pros: The Best "new mouse" ever used. USB, padded rest, nice looking. Cons: none.
I've used just about all the "mouse" replacements over the past 10 years. The Tablet, the digitizer, the gyro thing, etc.... even that gesture thinghy. But I have always gone back to the good ole' mouse within a few hours. The Rollermouse has been ...

Pros: Keeps you in most ergonomic position, relieves stress and pain related to mousing. Cons: Can lead to new injury if used exclusively. Alternate with mouse, take breaks.
This device is really great, I have been using it for several years. I have a repetitive motion injury (RMI) from excessive mouse work, and this is the only device I have found that allows me to do 8-10 hours of accurately and easily placing the cursor ...

Alternative to traditional mouse

Pros: Can use with either hand. Feature-rich input area--
Cons: 1 major design flaws as discussed above.
I bought the RollerMouse this past January with high hopes of solving my mouser's shoulder problem. After 10 months, what I'm stuck with is a VERY annoying-to-use and relatively expensive mouse substitute. The biggest problem is, any time I put the slightest weight on the wrist pads, it triggers the rollerbar !-- that is, as I'm typing, the thing is clicking and the pointer is flying all over the screen (sensitivity is set to heavy)-- a mess ! This means I have to type with wrists off the wrist pad. The next problem is the need to "recalibrate the rollerbar to the cursor." You're busy opening menus or moving the pointer across the screen, and suddenly it hits a stopping point (I have a 19" display). You have to back off the pointer and then re-approach your target. This is a super-tedious design problem. It doesn't happen with marble mice.
12/27/04-- Review addendum: The manufacturer has exchanged my unit with instructions to ensure work surface is completely flat. This has resolved irratic mouse clicking from weight of my wrists. Pointer recalibration remains an annoying problem, but is helped by speeding up mouse.
