Pros: Precise, Reliable, Ease of installation, quick response, ergonomic for right-handers. Cons: Southpaws are left out in the cold.
Precision Since the mouse has two lasers for tracking purposes, it's extra precise when working in environments where precision is necessary such as AutoCAD and 3D Modeling. On some of the older optical mice, the tracking would get confused if ...

Why did I buy this mouse?

The Logitech mouse was a good choice. I wanted something that CAD software would work with, so it needed at least 3 buttons. I also wanted the low maintenance of an optical mouse. I found this mouse had the best of both requirements.
Sometimes though, if the settings change for the middle button (the wheel), then it does not work with my CAD program. The only way to get it functioning like a 3 button mouse again is to reinstall the driver. Doing that removes the default Synaptics touchpad driver for the laptop, and I have to reinstall that again too. For CAD work, a desktop computer would work much better than a laptop anyway.
I did find an update on Logitechs website that seems to have fixed this conflict problem.
