Music Hall MMF-5 Turntable

Pros: All in one good sounding package for the vinyl newbie.
Cons: Motor noise. Alignment off.

This set up from Music Hall is touted as a "plug and play" turntable. Well, as far as tables go, I guess that is true. It definitely helps to have some advance knowledge of the basics, though, because the manual leaves much to be desired.

The main thing I love about this table is the value. You get a great looking and sounding turntable WITH a premounted and aligned cartridge for less than 500 dollars.

The weakness was the motor drive. Mine always produced some level of noise, no matter what I tried for remedies. Another weakness was I eventually found the alignment to be off by quite a bit.
