NAD T742 5.1 Channels Receiver

Pros: Great Sound Quality especially with music, Simplicity, Value, flexible/abundant inputs
Cons: Lacks some features (6.1 Surround), not enough power for a 20x20 room or larger

There are many options in the $400-$700 Home A/V Receiver Market. I can assure you I tried them all. While I had some space limitations on how large the receiver could be, my criteria was mainly sound quality. The T742 represents quality and ...

Pros: It does everything that I want or need in a 5.1 receiver.
Cons: A mediocre remote control unit.

After owning an Onkyo Pro Logic system (receiver & DSP processor were separates)for the past several years, I finally decided it was time to upgrade to a 5.1 system.

After scouring the internet for reviews of the different brands available (in my price range) I chose the NAD 5.1
receiver.

It has worked flawlessly since I put it into operation and the sound quality is what I had hoped it would be.
There were numerous other brands (in the same price range) with a lot more bells and whistles but none of them can match the the NAD when it comes to the quality of the sound reproduction in either music or movies.
