Pros: Built to take hard use Dedicated buttons Cons: NiMH battery Bigger than most folks would like
This is my third Nikon digital camera. I was (and still am) looking to get a D200 when I ran across the Nikon factory refurb at a price I couldn't ignore, so it looks like I'm into collecting these things. The very first, and most unavoidable, ...
Pros: Nice, sturdy body manufacture. Great Images. Cons: None that I can think of, unless you want medium format capabilities.
I have used this camera for the past 3 years... I am a professional Photographer, and use digital mostly. As a professional, this is a wonderful option, especially for sports photography and photojournalism. Portrait Photographers may want to stick ...
A rugged, serious Nikon camera. by zalophuscalif ,Mar 13 '04
Pros: Accepts F-series lenses; hard core professional camera. Cons: None.
I bought this puppy because it accepted all my F-series lenses and had all the right stuff. I shoot 200 - 300 shots a week outdoors, scenery as well as moving wildlife. I have used my Nikon F-series film cameras for decades, but the D1X has revolutionized my photography. I even popped for a Saturday Nikon Digital Photography School session to be sure I understood what I was getting into with the change-over. I have used it in drizzle, dense fog, blowing beach sand and other harsh environments. The photos are tack sharp and I have found it to be extremely easy to use. Keep it clean, format the cards after every use and go.
Pros: good in hand, i´ve quit some big hands. Cons: non
After several Nikon cameras, I had the money to buy a jused D1X with no marks of use on the body and in my opinion also inside everthing was good. I have it now for about ten days and made over 300 excelent pictures in my spare time (normaly I'm a truckdriver). People stare at you, as if you were a pro!? Most impressive of this camera is that it is very easy to use when you had older Nikon cameras before. I've a F4E aswell and can change the complete system accept for my 1.6A converter. I think I will keep this camera as long as it works properly.
