Pros: Loved it until it broke after 8 months and had to get a replacement.
Cons: If you are buying this printer for the 24hour turn around replacement warranty, don't bother.

They replace your printer with a refurbished model that has seen more use than the one you return.
My page count on the original 850, the "new one" they sent, 11,000. It also screws up the toner balance and drum life report so you don't know what you have any longer -until it runs out.

Pros: Fast, economical, graphics look good. Quite acceptable print quality with non-postscript applications.
Cons: VERY bad print quality with postscript based applications like Adobe InDesign and Pagemaker.

I really liked this printer UNTIL I tried to print documents created with Adobe InDesign or PageMaker. Unfortunately, the text looks really terrible (broken letters, faded, jagged.) The technicians were unable to help me (they tried, they really did.) Documents that look fine on an HP OfficeJet look very poor on this printer, I'm sorry to say.

The bottom line is, if you create documents using postscript based applications like Adobe, this printer is probably not the choice for you. I hope I can save someone from making the same mistake I did. I found no warnings about this problem when I researched this printer before I bought it. The only thing they could tell me to do is to upgrade to their postscript printer.

Oh, one more thing, according to the technicians at Okidata, the printer does not work with 3rd party glossy paper, such as Hammermill Office One Business Gloss. However, Okidata is now coming out with its own glossy paper.

Unless you want a huge paperweight in the future watch out. Printer has been good while it lasted but not compatible with an updated operating system have left me without a network printer for months. I can only use it on one old computer and cannot share it with other and have it work either. After months of waiting for an update the company now posts that it only works on older operating systems unless you use it as a single user USB connection only.

The company has clearly stated it does not intend to update anything. So when will this printer be your next paperweight. When will you upgrade your OS only to find you need a new printer or have to keep your old Operating System.

Pros: Very fast and great quality low cost-per-page for color printing.
Cons: Replacement toner is about $100 per color cartridge and $44 for black.

I bought this printer based on the recommendations of this site as well as the sales person at the story and I am not disappointed. This was my first foray into the world of color laser printers and, much like my first Palm Pilot, I don’t know how I ever got along without it. This printer is very fast, has outstanding quality and is cheaper (cost-per-page) than ink jet printing. It had great instructions and was very easy to set-up. I have read that it also has great support as well but thankfully I have not had to use support yet.
The bottom line is, if you are looking for a high quality, fast output color laser printer, can’t go wrong with the Oki C5150n.

Pros: Use the C5200N driver for outstanding photo printing.
Cons: Use the C5150N driver for crappy photo printing.

I just "upgraded" my C5150N driver to the one designed for the new C5200N. This C5200N driver includes a "photo enhance" option under "Job Options".

Enabling this results in amazing photo quality output from the C5150N printer. The driver designed for the C5150N does not include this option and the photo output is awful.

The output quality is so good that I now use the printer for all my 8.5x11 and smaller marketing materials; sorry Alphagraphics ;-)
