Pros: Can be distinctly recognized as Scotch Whisky that will not empty the bank.
Cons: Old Smuggler does lack the full flavor of a better scotch whisky.

Pros: Old Smugglers is the smoothest available; beats JW Red and Dewars and is affordable.
Cons: Availability of 1.75 liter bottles is real problem in North Carolina.
