Pros: Six megapixels, manual exposure options, excellent images Cons: No dedicated color saturation adjustment, no manual WB setting, noisy ISO 400 images
The new Olympus C60 (the replacement for the popular C50) is the smallest six megapixel digital camera and the highest resolution compact digital camera in the world. The camera makes maximum benefit of the size reduction possible with the xD-Picture ...

Pros: Size, quality, flexibility, exceptional resolution, and ease of use. Cons: Lack of color compensation mode, moderately slow lens and no zoom capability in movie mode.
First, let me say that the reader should consult the excellent review of Howard Creech, which captures the camera from a professional perspective and contains ancillary entertainment. I found no disagreements at all with his analysis and ratings. ...

Pros: Fairly compact, nice photo quality indoors & out. Cons: Camera usage not as intuitive as previous models; included photo software could be better
I loved the Olympus digital that I had last summer, the 4-megapixel C-460 I think it was, that preceded this (6 megapixel) C-60. So I leapt at the chance to trade in my "old" camera on this newer model at my local camera shop. And you might be happy ...

Very nice...
by jrpublishers ,Dec 18 '05
Pros: Great picture quality, easy to use Cons: Price, it cost more to get a good quality camera.
I received this camera for Christmas last year. I purchased my first Olympus camera in 1999 and because of was very pleased with it's performance, I didn't want to switch to any other brand. I had played with my brother's Kodak digital camera, but I wasn't impressed, that made my love my Olympus even more. After a year of using my C-60 I am just as tickled pink with it as I was with my last one. If I ever decide to upgrade camera's again it will be with an Olympus!

Excellent sunny day photo quality....but
by megapixel ,Sep 02 '05
Pros: Excellent, sharp, crisp outdoor photos. Cons: Right hand grip on camera body easily moves lens cover shell thereby shutting camera down.
I bought a C60 Zoom on my photo dealer's recomendation and
have been satisfied with the extremely fine outdoor results 8 x 11 borderless prints.
Navigating the 'menu' can be very confusing. The slightest pressure on the lens protecting shell when using the camera will cause the lens to retract and the camera shut-down to begin. Lag time a little long.
I have had this camera for about 14 months and have no problems with it. A good rugged and solid pocketable camera.

Do not buy this camera if you are interested in the macro mode
by liuhf ,Dec 12 '04
Pros: good battery time, cheap price, provide uncompressed tiff image format Cons: worst digital zoom function, bad macro mode and supermacro mode function
I bought this camera after I spend nearly a month on the internet to compare the function and price of different digital cameras and after i read the reviews from the users. I thought i made a perfect choice. I have to say I could not be more disappointed after i used it.
I spent several hours to read all the user guides to use this camera to make sure I use it correctly. The first disappointment came from the bad digital zoom function. Actually even the user guide said once you use the digital zoom, the image will appear grainy, exactly as they said. I can never get a clear picture if I use the digital zoom, does not matter which shooting mode I use. The macro function is horrible too. Without the digital zoom function, it is really impossible to shoot a small subject big enough. In the supermacro mode, I can take a picture in a short distance, may not be as short as 1.6 inches, however, I have no control of the zoom function, making the subject still very small on the screen.

Poorly manufactured
by cuz29 ,Aug 25 '06
Pros: inexpensive for the features Cons: Will break quickly, consider it a disposable camera
Be warned that the camera will break. On our unit the lens stopped retracting into the case, was sent away for repair under warranty, now six months later the same problem and the camera is not under warranty. Was offered a trade in, but the costs are higher than what the camera's sell for at the stores.

Great buy! Very pleased.
by newlyweds1004 ,Jun 30 '05
Pros: Takes great, clear pictures and videos. Very easy to use. Cons: "Regular" AA batteries do not last over 1 hour in this camera.
I think this camera was an excellent choice, and we are beyond happy with it. The pictures turn out crystal clear and full of color. It even takes short video clips! It is incredibly easy to install the software and transfer the pictures/videos to your computer. The only thing I have a problem with is the batteries do not last for more than 2 hours! After talking with some friends about this, I found out that this is a common problem with digital cameras so I can't really fault Olympus for that. We purchased a battery recharger and NiMH batteries for it, and since then we've been able to take pictures for HOURS with no battery replacement needed. I love this camera!

CAMEDIA C-60 ZOOM
by yui333 ,Jul 14 '05
Pros: good value,
6 megapixels,
good software Cons: quite large and heavy,
few editing features
This camera is one great camera. You get plenty of good features for an OK price. You get 6 megapixels which means excellent quality images. You also get 3x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom which is fine for a camera in this price range. The software you receive for this camera is fine. There are several editing features though not as many. I would give this camera a rating of 7 out of 10.
