Pros: 8X optical zoom with several preset functions as well as manual controls Cons: battery life is short; flash is VERY bright
My father recently purchased a new digital camera, the Olympus C-750. My wife and I knew that our digital camera, the Olympus D-510, was not long for the world. It was starting to have mechanical problems, and the 2.1MP were proving to be too little ...
Pros: 8x zoom, feature rich, good price for all the features
Cons: A little bulky, short battery life
I was stunned and excited to receive a wonderful Christmas gift this year - a digital camera! I have SO been wanting to get on the digital bandwagon, and this was just a perfect gift. I was a little scared to try it out though, since I have never used ...
Pros: easy to use, takes nice pictures Cons: bulky, short battery life
I was one of the last people I knew to try a digital camera. Some newer technology seems to really resonate with me, while others seem to scare me to death. I don't know that I would have ever tried a digital camera (though hopefully I would) if it ...
Pros: Fun, flexible and forgiving. Cons: Extreme zoom shots can be a little unclear.
I'll start by admitting that I'm not a camera enthusiast. One of my main reasons for going digital was that I keep losing exposed films! So, I made the move to digital, so that I could download straight to my PC. I spent a while researching my ...
I won't repeat the technical specs here as the other reviews cover them well. This is my 5th digital, and I'd say that I'm an advanced amateur photographer shooting primarily family photos and landscapes (how can you live in Colorado and not shoot ...
Pros: most features for the price, full manual mode, 10X optical zoom Cons: poor shooting when the lights are low
I bought this camera because I really wanted a digital camera and the price was just right. Compared to most other models, its very hard to get as many features as can be found in the C-725 in camera costing under $150. On the other hand, ...
Outstanding Value and very, very satisfied by mocha999 ,Jan 03 '05
Pros: Ease of use
Excellent Value for the money
Excellent photos Cons: Poor battery life and cheap Strap
Like the other person that reviewed this camera, I am not an expert nor an enthusiast. Rather, I was tired of buying and losing disposable cameras and overpaying for development.
I had been looking for a good digital camera and had done some research on line and word of mouth referrals. One of my main requirements was the optical zoom feature; the other was relative ease of use. I must say after using the C-725 for a couple of weeks, it has delivered on both counts with excellent photos and features.
I had tried 10x and 12x optical zoom cameras in the $400-500 range and found them too expensive after all the extras were included totaled up.
Office Max was selling the camera for $199, plus a free 64mb memory card and a zero-cost C86 Canon Printer; a hard deal to pass up.
If you are an amateur (like myself) who does not want to spend too much time with the details but still wants excellent results with minimal hassle and at a Great price, then the C-725 is the camera for you!
Good Value but beware of limitations by gp2k ,Aug 18 '05
Pros: Image quality, great zoom, cheap, good tech support, made in Japan Cons: No manual focus, no sound in video, slow, autofocus is often not accurate
I bought this camera because of price (around $110) and am generally satisfied with it (because of good quality and solid build) save for a few issues I want to share.
1. There is no manual focus, autofocus is sluggish and in low light conditions just not accurate. It is very difficult to make a photo of a bracelet or a ring under artifitial lighting;
2. The camera is fairly slow to start as the lens moves out;
3. The menu is fairly clumsy, there are no profile (actually there is one on my settings button);
4. The camera does not remember many manual settings, for instance if I put it to aperture mode (P/a/s) and shoot 5.6 aperture then turn it off and back on, it would start on 2.8, not 5.6
5. The camera uses a lot of energy (because of its size and weight), use NiMH rechargables.
6. It is very difficult to found a pouch for it - its fairly thick.
