Pros: price, very good image quality, stylish, user friendly
Cons: No AF assist beam, no uncompressed format, redeye issues, no manual exposure options
For the past few years the Olympus Corporation has been an aggressive competitor in the digital came ...
Pros: Nice, sturdy exterior. Sliding lens cap. Comfy in your hands. Cons: Eats batteries! Zoom button, x-D card, LCD screen ... they bother me ever so slightly.
Brief blurb about my digicam experience: since I wrote my first digital camera review, at which time I was not very familiar with them, I've used about 10 different types digital cameras, both for fun smiley snapshots and for boring work-related use. ...
Pros: Very handy in both size and function, superior image quality. Cons: No manual controls, not as sexy as the Digital Elph, no AF-assist, bad red-eye.
I didnt buy this camera, rather it was issued to me at work. Ill preface this review by saying that this camera was not designed for me, but rather for someone not interested in the mechanics of photography and only interested in taking good pi ...
Pros: Small, light weight! Durable clamshell body! No pop-up flash! Cons: Must use LCD for short time on each shot!
This is not a technical review of this camera, I am capable of such a review, but am not in the mood to do one, and think prospective buyers are better served by a seat of the pants review! This is my third Olympus camera, so I may be ...
Pros: easy to upload pictures to computer; better picture quality than other cameras Cons: Extremely low battery life
As I'm no electronics pro, it doesn't take much to keep me happy when it comes to gadgets. The Olympus D-560 does just that, and I have hardly any complaints about it. As for the camera itself, it's pretty sleek, and not too clunky. The fact that it ...
Pros: Compact, Easy to Use. Cons: Goes through battiries like crazy.
Olympus is a trusted name in Digital Cameras, so when we bought the Olympus Camedia 3.2 Mega Pixels in 2003/2004 we though we made the right choice for our first digital camera. Looking back, I still think we did because it is very easy to use. If ...
Pros: Excellent picture quality Cons: Battery Life
I received this camera, as a gift, 2 weeks ago. I started taking great pictures right out of the box. The camera's menu mode is simple to use and easy to navigate. The LED is crystal clear and the viewfinder is just like my SLR on my 35mm camera....
Pros: Great picture quality, good feel in the hands, small size for easy transport. Cons: VERY POOR BATTERY LIFE
Bought the D560 last week at CCity as a birthday present for wife. She had been researching alot online and came up with the D560 as her choice because of the AA batteries but we found very few reviews. After talking to the salesman, he did say it was...
Pros: The pictures when set to a good resolution come out crystal clear. Cons: Digital zoom makes grainy pictures like all other cammeras.
This camera is full of features from night mode to landscape. The pictures when set to a good resolution come out crystal clear and may be the best pictures i have seen comming from a digital camera. The lens is protected by a sliding cover that wont...
Pros: Picture clarity, features, price Cons: Red-eye, battery life.
The new D-560 Zoom is the much needed replacement for last years D-550z. Unlike its predecessor the D-560 does not have the much complained about pop up flash. That one problem is what stopped me from purchasing the D-550z last year. When I saw the...
Pros: Easy to use, great price, quality of photo shockingly good. Cons: Battery manufactures really love this camera. Stock up you will need them.
Photographer I am not. I have been using the disposable cameras for years. Until now. I have been intrigued as of late by the digital cameras. I did some minimal research, and most of this research kept pointing to Olympus. I spoke with some sales...
Pros: good quality, easy to use, versatile, durable. Cons: low battery life, bigger memory should be inluded
After about 4 years with a sony mavica FD-95 which was starting to outlive it's usefulness, i decided it was time for a new digital camera. First I went to Staples (an office store) and bought a sony cyber-shot, because i've always had good luck ...
Pros: It took good photos at first. And now hopefully it will continue. Cons: Wish power switch wasn't coupled with lens cover.
I don't know if my experience is the norm, but if it is, warnings to anyone who has to have warranty repairs made on this camera. I am without camera again, as I have been for the last two months. The camera is back at the repair center for the fourth ...
Pros: None Cons: LONG wait between pictures, eats batteries, inadequate flash
This is by FAR the worst camera I have ever owned. The most irritating feature is that it takes a full 11 seconds from the time I press the shutter button to the time that I can take the next picture. This is unacceptable when trying to take pictures of anything that may be moving- especially children. I have missed out on SO many cute pictures of my daughter because of this.
This camera takes horrible pictures in low light- the flash is completely inadequate- when it even works.
As others have said, this camera eats up batteries WAY too fast!
On the occasion that I was lucky enough to get the shot I wanted, the picture quality was reasonably good and I have always found the color to be pretty good, too. But, there are so many other cameras out there that are SO much more reliable. Don't waste your money!

Pros: Everything is great except for the picture quality. Cons: Picture quality is very poor.
Having owned other Olympus cameras I was greatly disappointed with the D-560 and that with picture quality.
It is easy to use, easy to carry and quite a nice package but if you want anything better than web cam picture quality you won't want this camera.
