Pros: The Olympus E1 is a true professional digital SLR camera! Cons: The price of the camera and the added expenses for a lens and flash.
The Olympus E1 has 5.5 Megapixels total, 5.08 Megapixels effective, is a digital camera made for interchangeable lenses. This camera is much different than the digital cameras with interchangeable lenses that Cannon, Nikon and Minolta use. Instead of ...
Pros: Superb feel and construction, wonderful colors, very accurate focus, metering and white balance. Cons: Small 1.8" LCD, only 5 megapixels
So here it is, my 100th review on Epinions. And what could be more fitting than to devote it to a camera that’s becoming a classic among Olympus users, the E-1. You may wonder why I’m reviewing a camera that’s three years old, with only a 5MP ...
Pros: Build quality, image quality, optics. Cons: AF sensitivity, noise at 1600-3200 ISO, light measuring.
I just bought any Oly E-1. It now costs half the price than one year ago. This camera is incredibly well built. Full metal body, weatherproof, ultrasonic cleaning... No more worries about dust on the sensor. The viewfinder is exceptional too, with ...
Pros: Ergonomic pleasure, weather proof, incredible images, great battery life. Cons: Expensive OEM lenses, flash and optional grip should all use BLM-1 Batteries.
I have owned several digital cameras, but not until recently did I become interested enough in them to lay out the funds for a decent DSLR. The reason was that they were just not fast enough to “catch the moment”. The image quality was quite good on ...
Pros: A great, quiet, rugged, general purpose camera with a family of great lenses Cons: 5Mpixel's a shame but still got the frontpage of 30 newspapers with it
I purchased my first Olympus E-1 in Early 2004. I won't bother spouting all the technical facts and figures about the camera because you can get that from the Olympus web site. Why did I buy it? It what my Nikon D1X did in a smaller size, lower weight ...
Pros: This is the first digital camera that doesn't tire my hands while I'm using it. Cons: Lens is SO sharp that EVERY hair, wrinkle and pore on a woman will show:/
FINALLY went digital. (I'm a professional photographer and WAS going to get the Nikon).. THIS camera is amazing for its speed of focus, its wonderful 'feel' and its ability to shoot weddings so wonderfully well. I LOVE that I can now shoot an entire wedding without changing lenses, (though the long lens IS a joy!), or needing to change batteries. Olympus waited... and the result is impressive.
Pros: Well built, hanldes great Cons: expensive, no built-in flash
This camera is solid, rugged and reliable. Very impressed with the handling and picture quality although photos above 800 asa tend to be noisy. You can view sample photos at this http://www.noendpress.com/pvachier/cameras/olympus_E1.php.
