Pros: Water resistant, no special USB drivers requried Cons: Focus speed, shutter lag, fragile and finicky cover switch, LCD invisible in sunlight.
I've had 2 Olympus cameras... a film camera decades ago, and a Stylus Zoom. Oddly, both had the exact same defect -- a overly sensitive switch that makes it all but impossible to hand the camera to someone else (the person you hand the camera to always ...
Pros: Compact, looks "high-end", 4 MP images, "weaterproof-ed", feels real...not toy like, battery life is GREAT! Cons: Menu can be cumbersome, bad image quality in low light, limited video clip size
Right off the bat At first glance the Olympus Stylus 410 is a hot little item. Definitely "a looker." It's elegant gold trimmings, compliment it's cool brushed metal body, giving it a real "high-end" look. It's a compact package, measuring ...
Overview: This review covers the selection and purchasing process for a mid-grade digital camera for everyday use. I probably won't list all the endless technical specs, but I will give you the logic behind my selection of this camera and of course, ...
Pros: QuickTime Movie, Durable Metal-Case, Viewing Screen, AV-Cables to TV, Weather-proof Cons: Bad sound recording, zoom is not very great.
The Stylus 410 Digital Digital Camera Shopping I was looking around for a decent digital camera that could take decent shots to post on the Internet and decent shots for the everyday use. When I entered in the store I was ...
Pros: Clear pictures with great color, decent price and hard lens cover. Cons: Noisy even when sound is turned "off," and not very user friendly
I took my camera out for its' innagural use this weekend. Overall, I was pleased with it's clarity, but some of the functions could use some work. For instance, we happened to be in a Church on Sunday, and wanted the camera as silent as could be so ...
Pros: Rugged construction, easy to use, excellent performance, USB, remote shutter release, features Cons: No TIFF or RAW mode, no manual focus or exposure setting

Pros: Hard cover, durable camera Cons: Menu is confusing takes getting used to
I purchased this camera for my husband to use in documenting work he is doing in construction. I picked this camera because of the hard cover that slides over the lens, compact size (it fits into his pocket or tool belt) and the 4.0 MP. The only ...
I bought this camera 2 months ago. It was my fist digital camera. As I begun to be more and more confortable with the functions, I started to notice that pictures was dark and blurry. Not the quality that I expected for a cam of that price. Last week ...
Pros: Extremely easy to use; nice cover - attracts everybody's attention! Cons: Really difficult to erase images. 16MB Picture Card stores no more that six HQ images.
I decided to go for this amazing camera just due to its good looks: frankly speaking, it looks real stylish with gold highlights on a metallic, champagne-colored body. But besides having good looks, its "weatherproof," with rubber seals on each cover or ...
Pros: None---takes horrible pictures Cons: A complete waste of money--takes terrible pics
Having had great luck with the 35 mm STylus, I decided to purchase the new digital stylus 410. I already had an entry level digital point and shoot--the Fuji a303, which takes great pictures, but has extremely slow lag time between shots. After one ...
Pros: Stylish, compact, inexpensive, clear pics, easy-to-use, with remote switch & software included. Cons: Shorter battery life.
My very first 35mm was an Olympus OM-1. Now my first Digital is an Olympus Stylus 410. I see a pattern...somewhere. It's compact, stylish, waterproof(haven't tried dunking it in water yet), an inexpensive for a 4 megapixel unit. It has a nice feel to ...
Pros: Clear pictures, small size Cons: Flash stopped working, not that great for macro shots.
This was my first digital camera and as I really enjoy photography this was an easy camera to get used to. There were a few things that I felt the camera was lacking in, like a better macro lense and faster shutter speeds. I had this camera for about 3 years and then the flash stopped working and I was only able to take pictures when I set the camera to the "flash off" mode. It became really frustrating when I wanted to take indoor pictures with flash. It would just refuse to take the picture. Up until the very end this camera did exactly what I wanted to and was very easy to hide in my purse and take with me on my travels.
Olympus Stylus 410... not too good by wahoo51 ,Nov 01 '06
Pros: Strap for hanging it up when using a real camera, mayyyyyybe battery life... Cons: most things... mainly quality.. really bad. Even in nice, sunny, full of light days...
My Mother bought this camera on recommendation from a friend and that was probably the worst thing that her friend has ever done to her. This camera is terrible. The only thing good on it is that i has a wrist strap... for hanging it up when you're using a real camera.
I wanted a second camera that I could keep in my purse or slip in my pocket and never miss a photo opportunity. I bought the Olympus Stylus 410 because I liked the weather proof feature. As soon as I received it I took pictures at the factory default settings. Maybe I would have had better luck had I changed the default to higher resolution but the pictures were terrible. I took shots inside and outside and all of them were awful, dark, the color was off, grainy. I packaged it up and sent it back the next day.
Olympus Stylus 410 - Small, simple, good photos by djwilliamson2 ,Dec 11 '04
Pros: Small size, hard lens cover, good heft and balance Cons: Shutter is a little slow for the impromptu candids
Chose the Stylus 410 due to good past experiences with Olympus Stylus 35mm cameras. The small size and hard lens cover are a real plus--we bring the camera everywhere. That's what a point and shoot is all about, right? Love the heft and feel, the picture quality is quite good. Would like a longer zoom for outdoor close-ups, but the tradeoff for small size was worth it. Only drawback is the shutter delay indoors with flash--we miss some of the great puppy shots.
