Pros: Excellent receiver, great effects, true sound, very happy once setup is behind me. Cons: Disturbing setup problems, complicated remote.

Pros: Great sound, learning remote with macros, great features for price. Cons: Poor arrangement of buttons on remote, can't switch components with only one button.

Pros: Good sound. Cons: Poor reliability.
Poorly designed remote.
Poorly designed user interface for menus.
Summary: My 3 week old 601 also had a defective headphone jack. Upon plugging in Sony MDR-7506 headphones I was greeted with extremely loud sound levels. It was as if the speaker amps were powering the headphone jack. I immediately unplugged the headphones,
