I recently purchased the Classic 76 model 76076-010 for my family. I have been using the A5 for my dogs for years, and I found out that the A5 blades, which are designated as animal blades, also fit the Classic 76. I thought this would be good to know, in addition to the fact that both the A5 and Classic 76 excellent clippers.

This is a pro-quality clipper from Oster Professional which uses the standard universal motor body and proprietary blades. I bought this for a friend and he likes it better than any other clipper he has used. It's fast, quiet and is built like a tank. It comes with a close cutting blade and a standard #1 blade, and can be fitted with a good range of guide combs, available separately. At this point I have to say that as with just about everything, you get what you pay for. Other clippers may be less expensive but this is truly a professional product and is built to last.

Been looking for a pair of these at a reasonable price for about 6 months, finally found them, and must say they are the best hair clippers we have ever bought. We have 3 boys with very thick hair and these have no problems going though the hair at all.

The Oster 76 is the best clipper to use to buzz off any length of hair I've found! I recently held a buzz-a-thon for breast cancer. All the ladies I buzzed, were amazed at the swiftness and comfort of the cut.

Pros: good for shaving or regular hair cuts such as fading and tapering hair.
Cons: A bit bulky but when you use them enough gets easier
