A great budget car MP3 player choice

by mattwimmer , Jun 23 '04
Pros: Good sound, easy to use, good looking, relatively inexpensive
Cons: Off switch not obvious, doesn't display mp3 titles continuously
I got this CD/MP3 player a few weeks back after my previous Jensen unit was stolen. In choosing it I considered comparably priced Jensen, Blaupunkt, Alpine, and Kenwood units, but none had all the features I wanted for the price I could pay (~$140 US, ...

Great Value for the Money

by outward_bound , Apr 18 '04
Pros: MP3/WMA cheap, good radio tuner, 50X4 power, quick random access, easy to operate
Cons: slow to get from folder to folder, display could have more characters
I've owned a home Panasonic DVD Player with MP3/WMA ability for over a year. Car MP3/WMA players were expensive at the time so I didn't take full advantage the format. When I saw that Crutchfield had it for $159.00 (with the wire harness and ...

My experience with the Panasonic CQC1300U

by ptweiler77 , Oct 26 '04
Pros: Price, features- mp3 playback, cool blue display, brand has good customer service
Cons: Amp had to be repaired after 5 months- but is very unusual problem.
I bought 2 of these units about 5 months ago. One for my truck and one for my wife's car. I got them for about $150 installed at Fry's electronics in Wilsonville, Oregon. These units have all the features I was looking for- cdr/rw playback, remote ...

great performance for small amount of money
by tsim34 ,Dec 29 '04
Pros: simple sounds good looks a million dollars costs not a million dollars
Cons: no dimmer function & fidley on off switch (ok if it's off the key)
I've owned this head unit for just about a year now, never had a problem & never had it skip a beat in MP3/WMP or wave

if I had to complain it would be for the brightness of the display at night (doesn't) dim with the cars lights & the on off button is not that obvious but niether are most new head units, the sound is clear & very well rounded not a cheap sound, plenty of base & treble, all in all for the money I'd rate it 8 out of 10. i would have given it 9 out of ten if it had a dimmer function.
