Panasonic CW-XC54HU Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner

Pros: Cools well. Easy to install and operate. Energy efficient
Cons: Too noisy for the bedroom

I bought this unit for my bedroom because the larger 7,800 btu Panasonic unit I have in the living room was very quiet. This unit is easy to install, lightweight, cools a small room well and has a handy remote control as well as a timer, etc. However, it is not nearly as quiet as the larger model CW-XC83YU that I have. The compressor makes a clunking noise when kicking in & out that makes it hard to sleep. Would be a good unit for a different room but not the bedroom
