Pros: Aspect ratio control and zoom, excellent performance and features, MP3 and JPEG Cons: No 5.1 DVD-Audio playback
The F65 is a 5-disc DVD changer with progressive scan and 2-channel DVD-Audio playback. It is available in two colors: black (F65K) and silver (F65S) and sells for below $120. Picture Quality The F65 is inexpensive and its low price is not ...
Pros: crystal clear sound, video, easy to use Cons: remote some-what weak, but functional
I have had this player for about 3 months now. I have been very happy with the performance, both playing CDs and DVDs. I have this hooked up via the optical digital connection running to into my Denon receiver. I have not no issues at all with the ...
Pros: Everything Works Cons: Many Annoying Features
Unlike other DVD players I’ve tried, all the features work (more or less) as described. You can put 5 CDs in and play them sequentially or randomly, and you can swap out discs while others are playing. Unfortunately, these features have many annoying deta ...
Pros: Slim-line styling, plays multiple formats, progressive-scan at a good price. Cons: Small on-unit display, mediocre remote
My old single-disc Panasonic unit was giving me some problems, so I decided to get a new one. The F65 is what ended up on my shelf, partially because of price, partially because of my generally positive experience with my prior Panasonic unit, and part ...
Pros: Great sound on MP3 discs due to the double re-master feature, plays DVD audio, Cons: Crappy DVD Ram performance, a big wide unit that won't fit in my stereo cabinet
I purchases the F65 at a boxing day sale for $169 Cdn which is $60 less than the normal retail. I bought the unit mainly for 2 reasons- it plays DVD audio discs and to play DVD Ram discs I record on my Panasonic DVD recorder. First thing I noticed when I ...
A Nessesity for Audiophiles by freaknugget ,Nov 26 '03
Pros: Best audio I've experienced on a player for under $400Cdn. All functios work well Cons: Manual is poorly written, Controls are somewhat complicated
I'm not sure what makes me different from the other reviewers of this unit. But I had no problems whatsoever with the controlls or features of this unit. Perhaps there was some trial and error involved, but it is FULL of features and that can make things a little confusing if you don't work in a electronics store {like I do}.
The REAL reason I purchased this unit was because of a write up in Panasonic's catalog about the "Double Re-master" feature for audio disc's. I did not believe the claims that had of how woderous it makes CD's and WMA/MP3's sound. After 2 months with this unit I must say it's no word of a lie. If you want the best possible audio playback get this unit!!!
Pros: Plays a variety of formats Cons: Remote control, DVD display, etc.
I have been a Panasonic fan for while but DVD-F65 has been a disappointment.
Remote control is cheap and the most useless part of the whole package.
There is this annoying feature where you have to make the DVD player memorize the current location before you shut it down, otherwise it begins playing the DVD from the beginning.
Picture in progressive scan mode was not all that great. I do have a HDTV.
Display is too small to see from a decent distance.
Pros: Low price. Great sound and picture. Very slim. Easy to use. Cons: Lacks some features. Mediocre remote. Tiny, useless display.
I was worried about buying this because my Panasonic DVD-CV52 Changer has problems playing MP3's, but they play and sound great on the F65. I paid $117 for it, and it was a great bargain.
Not capable of playing more than 1 DVD... by budmoffett ,Dec 29 '03
Pros: Great picture, great sound, great looking... Cons: Won't play more than 1 DVD, either consecutively, or randomly...
What? That's why I purchased a 5 disc DVD player!!! Yep, all I want to do is load in 5 DVD's and have it play them ALL.(in ANY order, I don't care...)But "no-o-o-o-o"...unit is designed to STOP after any DVD is done, and you then have to either get up and push a button to select another DVD, or use the remote. While this may not seem like a big deal, I bought this unit to put in an area that needs to have a movie running in the background for a few hours. According to PANASONIC tech-support, this is inherent on ALL PANASONIC MULTI-DISC PLAYERS!!! This unit should be called a 5-disc HOLDER! It works like a SINGLE disc player... Stay away from this one if you just want to load up, and hit play! (Please note that I usually LOVE Panasonic products...)
