Pros: Small size, very long battery life, works stand-alone or with TV Cons: Body doesn't seem very durable for the cost; very expensive accessories!
I just returned from a year-long deployment in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. As a defense attorney, I spent a lot of time traveling throughout theater and staying in remote locations. There is a lot of down time traveling by Space ...

Pros: Plays purchased DVDs and CDs well. User friendly, long battery life. Cons: Poor FM power, can't blank screen or close unit when playing CDs.
I bought this unit from Amazon.com in January 2005. Amazon did not post my review or any others that were not completely supportive. The Panasonic DVD-LS55 turned out to be a disappointment due to its unrealized potential. Like most, I don't like ...

Pros: Solid build quality, portability, screen flexibility, phenomenal battery life Cons: Value, no progressive scan, ok picture, no video input

Great while it lasted!!!!

Pros: Compact unit with nice screen screen size. Good battery life. Cons: It quit working. Expensive unit with no support from Panasonic
This was a great purchase. We did a lot of research and decided that we would purchase a player that had a longer battery life. I don't know that it ever lasted as long as it stated but it did last a long time. We were very careful with the unit because it cost a little more than the average player. Then with no warning we were watching it, turned it off to get out of the car and it never would turn on again. An error code would appear. The unit was a little over a year old, so out of the warranty period. Panasonic would not repair, only offered to send us a repaired unit for 190.00 plus shipping with the same wonderful 90 day warranty. I think we will pass. I can buy a new unit with an extended warranty for that amount of money. And if my first unit did not work, how could they expect me to buy another one??? If you look at other reviews for Panasonic players, Panasonic is aware of this problem and is not doing anything to compensate their victims.
