Pros: Fine transmission Features, e.g. copier, built-in help Ergonomics Cons: Light duty So-so paper handling Skimpy printing ribbon supplied
I purchased this since I needed a very basic home fax (and was tired of using the office fax or running out to Kinko's whenever I had to dash something off). Having found this at Staples for $40 after two rebates, I feel that I have gotten more than my ...
Pros: Setup is easy & simple and SENDS most faxes very well. Cons: It jams paper or prints only half a page or spits out several pages.
I bought this on sale and with rebate, but my overall impression is that I could have spent the rebate money and saved myself a lot of frustration & irritation. It does Send faxes well. Receiving Faxes it does terribly or not at all. The ...
Pros: Easy setup. Does not take up much desk space. Uses plain paper. Cons: Very bad print quality.
We run a travel business from our house called "Damons Destinations". I bought this product because it had a $40. rebate and other Panasonic equipment that I bought in the past gave me great service and use. Here is what I think about the KX-FHD331. ...
Pros: small Cons: copies not good, have to push a button to turn phone into fax
I bought the Panasonic KX-FHD331 fax/copier because my other one got damaged - even though I bubble wrapped it 3 times - in my move. Lousy movers. I got this machine through Office Depot at $90. It isn't a bad machine per se, but not as good as my ...
Pros: Easy set-up, simple to use, space saver Cons: Film cartridge did not last very long
Overall, this fax is great for personal home use. I was a bit surprised at how quickly the original film cartridge was used up, considering the little amount of use it got. I love that it does not take up a lot of space on my desk. The use of plain paper ...
Pros: NOTHING AT ALL: J-U-N-K Cons: EVERYTHING: NONE EXISTENT SERVICE -YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN.
After purchasing this fax machine 2 months ago . . . I soon realized (the hard way) it faxes all your pages at once (not to mention the super poor quality of its print). What a feeling when your faxing important documents and it takes them all at once! ...
Simple to use - Good for home use by itswhatithink ,Jul 10 '04
Pros: Simple, reliable, inexpensive. Cons: Print quality could be better. But good enough for home use.
This fax machine was easily installed, and in use within an hour of getting it home. This included the unpacking and computer hook-up. We sent and received our first faxes immediately and it has been smooth faxing ever since.
Pros: Keeps papers from blowing away Cons: Item was defective out of the box and Panasonic is refusing to honor warranty
What a nightmare Panasonic is. The item is defective. One of the paper feeding gears is missing causing this brand new machine not to feed paper. Rather than burden the store I decided it would be simple enough just to have it repaired under warranty. I called Panasonic who refuses to honor the warranty eventhough I faxed my receipt and tracking information. They claim my receipt isn't a receipt (go figure). Instead they recommended I just stick the store with this broken machine. This is the second time I've been bitten by garbage from Panasonic (first was a DVD player they wouldn't repair under warranty even when I supplied a receipt). NEVER AGAIN will I ever touch a Panasonic product...NEVER. And I'll be sure to recommend to everyone I run into not to buy Panasonic products.
Inexpensive, easy to use, decent quality prints by osujim ,Nov 10 '05
Pros: ease of setup and use. Cons: short ink ribbon
I bought this fax machine because I needed a CHEAP fax for my new home office. I bought it for $30 after a $50 rebate. I got it home, installed it very quickly, and downloaded the software. I am not computer or tech savvy and it was a breeze. The only problem was the short ink ribbon and the difficulty replacing the ribbon. Otherwise, it does its job without me having to think about it, and that's a nice feature. i would recommend it for anyone who needs a basic fax
Good deal but still not worth the trouble by ncraigc ,Jan 25 '05
Pros: The ribbon is easy to replace. The machine is inexpensive. Cons: slow, low quality print especially on shaded forms
This machine uses a ribbon that costs about $24 and goes through it in no time. It reads and prints slow and is not as user friendly as most faxes that I've used.
BAD PRODUCT AND NO REBATE!!!!!! by subrenat ,Jun 27 '04
Pros: None Cons: They lie about your rebate
Not only is this product barely a fax machine, the film doesn't last long, the print sucks, and the components are not user friendly. After buying this fax because of the rebate, the money never came. Now I don't even have the proof of purchase to return the machine. DON"T BUY PANASONIC
Pros: None Cons: Ink cartridge would not install properly so could not close cover once cartridge inside.
Bought it one day, took it back the next. Directions appear to be written by someone whose second or third language is English. Would not work so cannot attest to quality of print, etc., but overall quality terrible since would not work at all.
Doubt will consider Panasonic product of any kind again.
Pros: Fast Copying, Easy Basic Operation Cons: Paper Feeding Mechanism
I bought this machine from Lowes last year for 25 dollars I believe. It was a super sale item and was not out of the box. I first started using this in November of 2005 to send off my resume and cover letter. I used it twice then and everything was ok. I again started using this about a month ago and then the problems arose. I usually send 3 pages and just lay all of them in the tray after entering the number and then press send. But now it usually takes two pages through at once and does this continually. So now I have to manually feed the pages through one at a time in order to send my faxes properly. The funny thing is I just used the copy feature for the first time to test the paper feed mechanism. I did this 3 times and each sheet went through properly without me hand feeding it. Is this ironic or moronic?
The copying went off without a hitch and the printouts were admirable for such a cheap machine.
Pros: Simple to set up and use Cons: Print quality average
I just needed a simple fax machine for occasional faxes. I have received about ten faxes and all were of average quality. I have used it as a copier for about twenty copies and it has worked well. I have had no problems with it so far and have had it about two months. If you just want it for home use this fax has work great for me. I would recommend it for a home user who just wants a simple fax and single page copier machine.
