If you want this phone to last a while do not get it. The features are gone when it starts to get old. We have had it for 7 years and now it is not to reliable.

I bought this phone from Best Buy a few months ago. I had originally purchased a Motorolla cordless 5.8GHz phone which I returned because it echoed and the battery was a joke. Anyways I have not been impressed with this phone either. The screen on the phone is so dim it hurts my eyes whenever I try to read it. I have tried but can't seem to find anything on the phone menu to make the words on the screen brighter. The mute button on the phone is placed on the phone so that if you hold the phone between your face and shoulder it will be pressed. Many times I kept talking away not knowing the other person couldn't hear me. The volume button on the phone is maxed out yet I have a lot of trouble hearing whoever i'm talking with. I'm very disappointed with this phone. In the past I had a Panasonic cordless phone that lasted for many years and worked like a phone should. This phone doesn't.
