Great phone system - It Rocks!

by ltdsmokin , Mar 10 '04
Pros: Finish quality, battery life, speaker phone quality, call quality, multiple handset capability.
Cons: Funky scroll pad for accessing directories.
We purchased this phone at the beginning of February 2004 and it has been a great phone so far. The speaker phone on the base is very clear and according to the people that I have talked to while using the speaker phone portion, it is crystal clear. We ...

The handset battery/charger is terrible.

by qazwhat , Dec 16 '05
Pros: Numerous features and capabilities
Cons: Absolutely pathetic battery/charger.
There are numerous features that this phone that were must haves when I originally bought it. One of them was the ability to have a base station that was not battery dependent so that I could always be certain that in an emergency I would be able to make ...

Pass Panasonic By Nowadays
by badinage ,Dec 29 '05
Pros: None that come immediately to mind.
Cons: As stated above. Bad battery and cheated me out of rebate.
These folks have been a horror to work with since I bought the KX-TG2770S phone via their online store back in August of 2005. They have refused to provide me the promised rebate, and do not even return my phone calls asking management for help. The battery will also not hold a charge, and I was forced to buy a substitute from Radio Shack. I used to like Panasonic products, but I will never, ever, buy from them in the future. You should avoid them also unless they once again become reliable and responsible.

Great Potential with Failed Execution
by dave64nj ,Jan 28 '07
Pros: Multiple features useful for home use
Cons: Lack of durability; screens fade quickly; poor battery life
This phone system had everything I wanted when I bought it compared to all of its competitors...two-line capability, answering system, handset expansion. But, I quickly learned that this system is poorly made and has no durability whatsoever. The screens on multiple handsets faded immediately. Battery life is awful - though I keep the phone charged regularly in its cradle, I continuously lose calls. When I replace the batteries, I seem to be right back in the same place.

I'm now searching for a new phone system in my home and will not buy a Panasonic product ever again!

Panasonic usually makes great phones, and this is one of them.
by jim98122x ,Apr 26 '04
Pros: Great sound, convenient lighted dial, easy to use, excellent cordless reception, VERY easily expandable.
Cons: none. It's great.
I bought this system to replace a really cruddy V-Tech phone of similar setup-- i.e, a wired base with speakerphone, and wireless remote phone that doesn't require a jack. At $99 online including free shipping, I think it was an excellent deal.

Lots of combo wired/wireless systems have built in answering machines. I use phone company voicemail, so I didn't want an answering machine. This system is made to pair with voicemail-- the base and phones have indicators for when you have a message waiting. So the answering machine can't accidentally turn on and screw up your voicemail.

This system is GREAT. Sound quality is excellent, battery life is great too. Expanding up to 8 phones is easy, you just hold the new phone near the base, push a button or two, and you're done--and you don't need jacks for any of the expansion remotes either. Like another reviewer, I added the KX-TGA273S expansion remote with built in clock radio. It's perfect for the bathroom! I even found it on sale for $79.99 plus a $50 rebate, so the total cost was $29.99 plus tax. It too is excellent.
You can't go wrong with this phone system, it's great.

Leave it at the Store!
by stormy76 ,Sep 02 '04
Pros: Sleek contemporary look. Nice features.
Cons: Display screen images on cordless handset disappeared after 2 weeks.
The cordless handset display screen started dimming after only 2 weeks. Yes it was fully charged! This does not give me a good impression of the Panasonic line.
