Pros: 3 CCDs, small, lightweight, easy to use, AND awesome color. Cons: Date/time feature is truly stupid. Manual focus is awkward.
I finally made the jump to mini DV after holding on to my Hi-8 machine for way too long. A friend of mine has this model and highly recommended it. I looked at the more expensive versions of the Panasonic but decided I didn't need all the features. ...
Pros: Good color, ease of operation, balance, control, and battery life. Cons: Marginal image stabilization, useless digital camera and the buttons are rather small
I went to my local cable studio and found 3/4 had gone away. Everything was being shot on Digital Video. I went to my retailer intending to buy a Sony, fortunately the model I wanted was out of stock so I kept searching. I couldn't believe it when I saw ...
Pros: Great color and clarity, very good resolution, compact, light, inexpensive Cons: Poor LCD, digital anti-shake poor, mic input mono
I've been using a Sony 3CCD TRV900 for the past few years but wanted a 3CCD camcorder that is easier to lug around. Took a leap of faith leaving Sony but I'm happy to report that I haven't been too terribly disappointed. The strength of this camera are ...
Pros: Great video quality
Ergonomic, fun to use Cons: Not made for repair
Poor image stabilization
Wind noise
The video quality of the camera is quite good, and you can really notice the depth of color that the three CCDs provide. The menus are well set up, and I didn't find the solarization of the LCD to be as much of a pain as some people think. Yes, it ...
Pros: Vibrant colors, features, 3-CCD design, performance, price, control layout Cons: Digital stills only adequate, low light performance could be better

Pros: quality of video, stability, and color Cons: Battery life could be a little longer :(
I am a videographer, and I make dvds. So I need to have the best cameras that I can get my hands on. When I was looking to get a small camcorder size camera that I wouldn't be too upset about breaking or losing, I bought the PV GS120. I read that ...
Buyer, beware! The Panasonic PV-GS120 seems to be a fantastic bargain, being a cheap 3-chip camcorder with decent low-light performance, but PLEASE READ MY REVIEW BEFORE YOU BUY.</p> I picked up a Panasonic PV-GS120 camcorder ...
Pros: Picture quality, low light performance, battery quality, manual control, pass-through mode Cons: Image stabilizer, automatic white balanse, lens could be wider
My primary concern when shopping for camcorder was good low-light performance and while this one does not quite deliver as good night video as 1/4'' CCD analog Sony it still does good job compared to other on the market within similar price range. I do ...
Good Camera for the bucks by tashidondrup ,Apr 28 '06
Pros: price, colors, manual settings, materials, dicomar lens, Cons: menu access and bad quality pictures.
This is a good camera, why? because has dicomar lens, 3CCDs and some manual capabilities, have great colors, good materials, good batt life, good looking. The bad things are: stupid way to control the menu ( inside the panel ), and very difficult to control the manual zoom. The pictures are very poor too. But is a camcorder not a camera. Good buy.
Pros: Compact, lightweight, excellent quality of daytime video. Cons: The manual is an absolute JOKE!
I am quite happy with the purchase at $800 Canadian.
I have read dozens of reviews and upgrading to GS200 for $650 does not calculate at all. I would consider GS400, however it is offered in Canada for approx. $2,000!!!
Pros: Easy to use controls. Nice zoom. Top loading of MiniDV tapes. Easy menu on LCD. Cons: Manual could be a little easier to use. Supplied Battery life could be better.
It's a fairly small cam with easy to use controls. I have seen a few complaints about the 2.5 LCD, but what do expect from a small hand held cam anyway? I haven't found it to be a problem at all. Some complained about the "glare" you get on the screen while in bright light. It hasn't a problem for me. Wouldn't the glare be there on larger LCD's to?
