Pros: Vibrant colors, features, 3-CCD design, performance, control layout, good battery Cons: Digital camera will provide better digital still pictures

Pros: Excellent image & audio quality. Nice features set with useful manual overrides. Cons: Shaky images when hand held, poor manual, and inability to charge battery and run camcorder.
First, I won't bother with reviewing the following: -The features list. See Panasonic.com or other merchant sites or reviewers for that info. -Still photo features or attributes (get a dedicated still camera for those needs, such as the Canon A80 ...
Pros: Excellent video quality, 3 CCD's, small size, easy to use Cons: Bad manual, included sd card is a joke, problems with flash and video editing software
This camcorder produces incredible video quality. I bought mine 2 months ago and had the opportunity to use it extensively. It has a lot going for it in things that mattered most to me and I am sure a lot of other buyers as well. Firstly 3 separate CCD's ...
Pros: 3-chips should make a huge difference, at least on paper. Cons: Didn't like how the footage actually LOOKED. Sigh.
Picked this up on the Open Box table at a local Circuit City, and saved a bundle (couldn't believe how low a price, almost half off!) Shot with it a few times over the next 14 days, and on the last day of the return window, I actually played some of it ...
Pros: Impressive sounding features such as 3ccd, and Leica lens.
Comfortable to hold.
SD Card. Cons: Not versatile in low light.
Cumbersome dial.
Poor overall video quality.
After I tried to take apart my broken Sony Digital 8 to get the tape out, (not recommended, the brittle ribbon cables snapped when bended, and I ended up with a pile of parts), I needed a new camera. I did exhaustive searches on the web, and found ...
Pros: Color and Resolution Cons: Still Camera, No optical stabilization
I bought the GS200 in August from Digital Megastore for $815 + shipping. I have been very happy with my purchase. The GS200 has the following features: - 3 CCDs, which produce great colors. - A manual focus ring. - Manual shutter, white ...
Pros: Great color, good resolution. Cons: Image stabilizer not strong enough. Not so great picture under low light.
I only have had this camcorder for a few days. First thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem to perform very well under low light situation. The picture is ok, but the color tends to be dull and resolution is kind of lacking. However, in bright sunny ...
Pros: 3CCD technology at a consumer price level makes a huge difference Cons: more expensive then some of its competitors in that market
upgraded from a Sony TRV250 and the upgrade was a huge success in more true color reproduction...if your really into the best possible one time only chance of recording your special moment then pay the extra money and record it once and in the best color ...
Pros: great value 3 ccd camcorder. great auto mode, flexible manual mode. Cons: Manual not complete. Skimpy 8mb memory card. 256 mb available at amazon for $25-35.
Really enjoy this camera. It's easy to use, makes great video, and loads into my Apple computer's iMovie just fine. Has a firewire (DV) connection in front, though cable not included. You can pick up a six foot 4 pin 6 pin firewire connector for around $7 at any discount computer supply store, so you don't need to pay $29 unless you enjoy the convenience factor. Top loading DV Tapes. Nice little robotic function there, the way it opens and closes. Purchased at ibuydigital.com. I did not experience the problems with the electronic image stabilization as reported by other reviewers. Maybe I have a steady hand. I also like to use a tripod if I'm going to be shooting in the same place and loosen the side to side and up down knobs on the tripod.
Pros: so impressive color and picture quality, and neat design Cons: none yet
Crisp picture quality with great color!! compact size with cool design! All necessary accessories are included! I love everything with this PV-GS200~!!!
Disappointing picture quality by artistf8 ,Nov 09 '04
Pros: Size, easy to use. Ok video quality at short ranges Cons: low-light capture, yellows not true, constantly opening screen. Supplied battery, manual are jokes.
Generally a usable camera but yellow was not true (yellow-green tinge very noticeable when compared to 4 other similarly-priced cameras). Poor low-light capture. Digital stills unusable. Color fades at max optical zoom. Optical zoom needs to be increased min 12x. I expected better color imaging, zoom and low light for the money. This camera doesn't stand out from the competition. I was disappointed...camera went back.
