Pros: Large text display, simple navigation, and compact design. Cons: Pathetic locking latch, bass-shy amplifier, and significant battery drain when off for a while.
I have had the SL-MP70 for nearly two years now and frequently play it through my car stereo. Recording MP3-encoded discs are played through without noticeable problems when playing files encoded at 256kbps and 320kbps; however, results are mixed with ...
Pros: Sleek Design, Round Shape, Light Weight Cons: No Radio
I just got my SL-MP70. I was suprised by how light it was, even with the batteries. It is very circular in shape. It is not to big and looks nice. I really like the 4-way metal button on the top. Its great. It plays, pauses, fast forwards, rewinds,...
Pros: Never skips (even w/heavily scratched CDs), Great battery life, Displays MP3 ID3 tags Cons: 100% Plastic, Max vol too low, No FF & RW for MP3s, No power cable
My minidisc player broke down so I thought about alternatives. I hated the hassle of recording my so ...
Sounded great until it broke... by birkyzs ,Mar 03 '06
Pros: Sounds good, you can store 700MB of MP3's on a single disc Cons: Died after 6 months
I purchased this at Walmart on clearance for about $40, and it served me well for about five business trips. It is wonderful to take four or five CD's that contain your entire CD library - saves alot of space. I liked the features of this unit, and the only problem I had was that it took me a few attempts to get the tracks to play in the correct order (it had to do with the format that my CD burner was using - numbering or naming the tracks did not help). After about 6 months of use, it simply stopped turning on - it does not matter whether I use batteries or a power cord. I did not expect it to last forever, but a year would have been nice...
Does the job, but nothing else by novablast ,Feb 01 '04
Pros: Great Look and Design; Superior battery life; Excellent anti-skip program. Cons: Low Volume Output; Not user friendly
Upon upgrading to my first mp3 player with the sl-mp70, I was expecting a completely new experience, but was quite dissapointed. The sl-mp70 does it's job and plays the mp3's and cd's with no problems, but it was the small things that really bothered me. The mp3 player has no skip ten feature or something similiar which causes the user to press the next button way more than necessary. I don't know if i'm the only one that feels this way, but I was extremely let down by the sound. The quality is excellent, but the maximum volume allowed is a joke compared to duraband players. I've already bought 2 more pairs of headphones in hopes of increasing the volume, but the player simply doesn't allow it. I guess I can't be to hard on Panasonic, because it is obvious that they are still getting a hang of the whole mp3 player thing.
Pros: Inexpensive, reliable operation, easy to use Cons: Poor headphones, seems fragile, maximum volume could be greater, can't search with MP3s
Good player for the price. Sounds quality seems good but not great (with good headphones). Can't seem to display both Album and Track title on the same screen. Get better headphones though! Headphone volume could be higher, but it's probably safer for your ears the way it is. Can't search with MP3s.
Best CD player I have ever owned by wc_sweetgirl ,Dec 03 '03
Pros: Low battery useage, sound, never skips, look Cons: Front can scratch I guess, other then that NOTHING
Never skips, great sound I use smaller headphones but Great for battery life, on cheap batteries from a dollar store I left the disc man for 30 hours and still ran for a bit after that on the smae batteries
