Pros: Absolute POWER. Sweet look and performance. Battery life is fortune-saving. Cons: The headphones, and those little socket covers are annoying.
it’s all about the music… Can’t live without a CD player. I simply cannot. I need a sweet, smooth sounding, durable, un-skipping, and musically unrelenting CD player. Browsing searchingly, I found what I think is the best CD player on God’s round ...

Pros: Good sound, awesome design, good features Cons: Headphones are total junk
I got this cd player today and it is so cool! I had the Panasonic SL-SX320 but I needed one that was water resistant, more durable, and one that came with a hand strap for jogging. Since I am 14, I need alot of excersize, and also since I am gaining lots ...

This is an honestly good product
by bernsteinjo ,May 17 '05
Pros: You could run this over with a car. Also, battery life is virtually unlimited. Cons: Sound could be louder, but again, this is the trade-off for a longer battery life.
I'm a combat soldier, serving in an infantry unit stationed in the Middle East. (I'm not being paid by anybody to say this). Last week, I was out running, when I tripped on a rock, broke my fall with this CD player. I literally crushed the CD player against the ground. I laid on the ground, in immense pain, got up, wiped the blood off my forehead, off my knee, off the back of my cd player, pushed the play button, and sure enough, the damn thing still worked. I kept on running.
From now on, the rest of my consumer products are going to be Panasonic. I think in an age where electronics are made with about as much craftsmanship as donuts, this should count for something.

One of the best CD players i have ever used
by crazygood ,Jan 20 '05
Pros: Very Good frequency. 45 sec. of skip. Cons: None...... that i can think of
I've dropped my Compact Disk player a thousand times, and this is the best CD player in terms of everything. The sound is so clear, very good bass, and frequency. It's worth the money, if you want a good sounding, nice looking, CD player.

Superb Sound and Operation
by ckantack ,Aug 27 '04
Pros: Durable, good looking, easy to use. Cons: No MP3 Playback
My wife bought an SL-SW940 for herself but I've been using it quite a bit for outdoor listening. In my case, I've been attaching this player to a Cambridge Soundworks subwoofer/speaker system when working around the yard or garage. Fantastic sound! Some of the best I've heard from any CD player.
I also like the ease of operation with this unit. The pause and stop features work very well. Battery life is well....I've yet to have to change batteries despite hours and hours of play. Also, this unit can take the heat of the sun...no problem.
I've not tried the headphones that came with the unit but the unit sounds great when used with good quality headphones. (I tend to own headphones that you can find in the $40 range and find such units to be much better than what comes packaged with any player.)
The only thing I find missing from this unit is MP3 playback capability. But, then again, for most users, MP3 playback is a non-issue.
Definitely recommended!

Pros: Very nice design. Very good quality sound. Cons: The headphones are annoying.
Have you ever had a cd that only had a lot of minor scratches and when you tried to play it your cd player went braindead? Well, this CD player seems to ignore minor scratches! and it's cool looking. and it's just the best c.d player I've ever had!!
