Pros: Plays mp3’s, easy to use, long battery life, compact design. Cons: Limited amount of memory, bigger than most mp3 players, doesn’t play Burned DVD’s.
When I asked to borrow this from my brother I never intended to review it. After all I have about 50 products in my review folder that need to be tended to. But after using this cd/mp3 player I had to post my take on it. This is just a simple cd ...
Pros: Low battery drain, good sound quality, good MP3 support Cons: Skip protection needs some work
The Panasonic SL-SX420 is the fifth or sixth portable CD player I've bought myself for use at work in the past four years. After a string of disappointments, I was starting to think of portable CD players in general as commoditized and disposable. ...
Pros: Remote Control, Hold feature to save battery, and prevent accidentally stopping playback, price Cons: no ID3 tags, no radio or adapter, takes few seconds to read mp3 CDs.
I just bought this item today at Circuit City, and I'm very glad I did. The price is great, and it h ...
Pros: Price, Ease of use, Sound modes Cons: Skips, No Display but time, Cheap headphones, Load times
The Panasonic SL-SX420 is an 'ok' Mp3 Cd-Player. It was actually my first Cd-Player which I used for at least 6 months so far and I am still using it, for cds anyway. I recommend switching to a low-cost Mp3 Player as an alterative. Price ...
Pros: Plays MP3 files (even VBR), battery life, no skipping, price Cons: No LCD screen.
This is the best portable CD player I have owned, bar none. I usually have some pretty bad luck with portables. Over the last four years I owned four different models (from Sony, TDK and Panasonic), and they all either broke or became obsolete quick. I ha ...
Pros: Inline remote, Folder navigation, decent sound, very pretty Cons: long start up time, no fast forward for Mp3s, STOPS WORKING FOR NO REASON!
I really liked the sleek design of this CD player and the inline remote, the two biggest factors in my decision to purchase it. I figured that because it was name brand it would be durable and of good quality. Man oh man, was I wrong. Two weeks after ...
Pros: Cool looking, good sound, great price, no skipping, lots of features. Cons: On playing MP3 some unwarranted noise between tracks, not so long battary life.
I bought this thing at Circuit city two weeks ago. It looks nice, and has a very nice sound. I bought also Koss earphones, not relying on supplied cheep earphones (and indeed, this was a justified purchase). I find the sound great. It also plays MP3 ...
Good entry-level MP3-CD player by striker_2830 ,Jan 12 '04
Pros: Cheap price
Reliability
Nice no-skip features
Decent battery life Cons: Can't read tagging
Loud noises heard random play
Some songs come back for more
I bought this CD player a few weeks ago to replace my old CD player (it's another Panasonic). It couldn't handle the abuse of being in my bookbag, so it only lasted about 4-5 months since I bought the last one; it was rather disappointing. Anyway, this Panasonic CD player is nice, with decent random-play feature (I can't say that it's good, though, since it would often come back to the song it played a few minutes ago... must be the folders I put the files in). Too bad it doesn't have a display to show the tags of the MP3 files (which shows artist and title of the song). On the upside, it has a decent battery life (37 hours isn't bad), and it comes with a remote controller. Be careful, though, the headphone that comes with the CD player breaks rather easily.
very good MP3 CD player, not the cheapest by parvath_r ,Nov 28 '03
Pros: smooth playback, great look, Hold, cool looking wired control, long life battery. Cons: Cheap headphones,no ID3 tags.
I have had this player for about 6 months now. And I had no problems at all. I didn't like the design and quality (to some extent) so I dumped the headphones that came with the player and bought another pair. Now the player rocks. I basically had no desire of having FM in my player so lack of FM isn't really a setback, that was my choice.
The wired control is a great feature.
Though you will definitely find a cheaper player, this one is worth the money.
I highly recommend this set.
bad quality for the money... by s35510n ,Oct 28 '03
