Pentax *IST 35mm Film Camera

Pros: Quicker reaction than my previous Pentax SLR
Cons: Warranty is useless, and repair department doesn't believe anything you say.

I bought this camera less than a year ago and after owning it for 7 months (and may I add not using it very much as I had some health issues) the display went wacky. It still seemed to shoot pics though (without a flash). I took it in and received notice that there was water damage inside the camera and it wasn't fixable under warranty, even though I had purchased an extended warranty.

Note that I take great care of my cameras and keep them all in the same carry bag with various lenses and other camera bodies, and that it was never near water.

My word against the tech repair person, so now I am out $400 for a camera I bought less than a year ago.
