    Apr 5, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: makes a darn good tequila sunrise
Cons: it will peel the lining from your eyeballs

Summary: Scratching your head, mate, and wondering what the bonkers I am doing throwing Smithswoodside to Pepe Lopez? Well, Smith is in Australia, sometimes known as ‘down under’ and I live in the US, Mexico is ‘down under’ us. That should tip your wacker ... read more

Pros: Didn't make me throw up. Cheap. Tasted okay (apparently) mixed.
Cons: Made me FEEL like throwing up. Burning alcohol, vague flavor.

Summary: Well I've just gotten off work (11:42pm) and I have nothing to do tomorrow. So what have I decided to do tonight? Tequila. The Preparation In front of me I have salt, a glass of coke on ice, a 1 and 1/2 ounce shot glass, and my bottle of Pepe ... read more

  • One More Mixto that bites the dust

    Jul 31, 2004 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: If you are on a very strict budget and you like margaritas go for it.
    Cons: Very poor quality

Summary: Pepe Lopez is another mixto or 51/49, for the people who do not know what this is I will repeat what this is. Difference between both types of tequila (100% de Agave and Mixto): Agave Tequilana Weber or just blue agave for short is the main source ... read more

  • Not bad, not bad at all...

    Aug 23, 2003 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Pretty good value, decent taste, good mixer, great for parties
Cons: Not something to drink if you're in the mood for a high class tequila

Summary: Ah, tequila. The ultimate party drink (well, next to keg beer). The subject of many a country song ... read more

  • Lulled into a false sence of security by good tequilas?

    Mar 27, 2001 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: It's obsurdly cheap
Cons: One way ticket to tequila drinking hell

Summary: Pepe Lopez is a heinous assault on the human body, it's harsh and unmanagable texture is rivaled only by it's ability to induce seizures in the hearts and minds of fine tequila drinkers everywhere. Sure it costs less than a six pack of Newcastle, but ... read more

  • A gold worth your gold.....

    Dec 20, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Better and cheaper than Cuervo
    Cons: none

Summary: Now this is the Tequila that I usually would go for that was a substitute for everyone's liking for Cuervo. Pepe Lopez Gold is not as insanely harsh as Cuervo. It is also not as insanely expensive. Now yes, my liking for Lopez over Cuervo ... read more

  • If you want burning and harsh sensations this is it.

    Pros: None
    Cons: All

Summary: If there is something relay bad it is this thing that can be called tequila by the influence and power of big companies. Pepe Lopez is sent from Mexico in big containers, bought by the big US capitalists at the cheapest price possible and then deluded ... read more

  • Whallop

    Jun 17, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Strong, but not harsh; Value pricing, plentiful
Cons: Tastes strongly of alcohol, not as balanced as the more expensive tequlias

Summary: Pepe Lopez is the value leader in tequila. No other brand can boast of such a strong drinkability / price ratio. Where I live, Pepe Lopez costs very little, slightly more than half as much as either Sauza or Cuervo. Pepe Lopez is the least ... read more

  • Great for mixing!

    May 5, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Cheap, yet great for mixing
Cons: Not as smooth as could be

Summary: Pepe Lopez is a great mixing tequila, as well as being not too bad straight. Why do I say that it is a great mixing tequila? Well, for one thing, the price. Pepe is cheap as tequila goes, and so it won't break your wallet. Secondly, ... read more

  • Ain't no sippin' Tequila

    Jan 24, 2004 by
    Rated Show
Pros: Great mixer or shooter, cheap
Cons: Can't compare to other brands if you want a slow, sipping drink

Summary: Pepe stands out from many other bottom shelf tequilas. You know what I'm talking about. When you buy your favorite tequila mixer, pour in some tequila and depite all of the wonderful artificial flavors and sugar in your mixer, the drink tastes like ... read more
