Pros: Fabulous design, good picture and sound, extra features Cons: Automatic setting of clock can be annoying
My husband and I like to put away our TV when we have guests over, so we tend towards small ones that can be tucked in a closet when not in use. When our old TV died and we went out to purchase a new one, this one really caught our eye because it's...
Pros: Great Looking, Lightweight, Great Picture Cons: Has a Mind of Its Own!
Mine was an open-box unit bought from Circuit City, with the manual and warranty information intact. To my mind, the fact that it was an open box unit shouldn't have made much difference. There shouldn't be anything wrong with a brand-new TV whether it's...
Pros: Great picture and sound. Hot styling fits well in computer room. Clock, light
are great! Cons: None so far.
We went looking for a small TV to be near the monitor in our computer room. Feeling the 9" models too small, we looked at 13" models from 89.99 to 249.99. Having 3 other SONY sets, led us to the new WEGA 13" with flat screen and Sony's usual...
Pros: Beautiful, Easy, Useful Cons: A little too tiny
As I'm sure many of you know by know, I'm an electronics lover. Now, taking the top position on my list, is this Philips Somba television. It's hot! I received it as a gift from a friend just yesterday, and already I've fallen in love. It's beautiful, it...
Pros: Good Sound and Picture, External Clock? Cons: 250 BUCKS!!!!!!
I received this tv just the other day as a gift for a birthday. From looks alone, it appears to be a top of the line product- great design, and pretty innovative. After watching it, and using it to play some Playstation, the picture and sound were...
Pros: Not your "average" TV! Loads of personality, cool features. Cons: Price and availability
I purchased my Somba at Best Buy October 2001, ironically enough to keep up on news (just after 9-11) in my bedroom. It has proved a welcome 'companion' to my evenings ever since, with the softly-glowing night light feet and clock gently looking over me...
First impressions are VERY important in life, you either love it or hate it,there is no in between in my humble opinion. The Somba made a very lasting impression the first time I seen her at the Audio and Video convention in Vegas.I cannot forget the...
Pros: picture sound features Cons: high price for a 13 inch TV
The price tag for this television is a little high for a 13 inch television. The quality lives up to the price for sure. This set has a very unique design. It has 2 3inch full range speakers on the side. My favorite feature is the analog clock at the...
The Philips 13PT30L "Somba" is one hot looking little 13" TV set; I ran
across an ad. for it in "Wired" magazine and was taken away by how cute it
is. Now, cuteness is not the standard technical specification given...
this is a great tv for dorms and apartments. it is small, looks good, sounds good, and it has very useful features. i just went to college and i love mine.
The tv has been in use for well over a year now and we love it. The style is retro yet contemporary and the clock/nightlight feature is great. The only drawback is that the Autochron feature (which is supposed to keep the clock's time correct) is continually resetting itself...an irritating occurance. Otherwise...terrific.
