Pros: Very flexible and just plain cool! Cons: Like you'd expect, it is pricey.
Introduction The Phillips TSU-3000 is the next generation of touch screen remote control. Phillips actually calls the device the "Pronto next generation." It is very similar to the more expensive TSU-6000 (ProntoPro) color version. In many ways ...
Pros: A true "universal" remote that is easy to use, once programmed. Cons: A remote that must be programed to make it easy to use.
I bought this remote to replace 6 remotes for my new system. Bought 4 months ago, and had trouble getting it to work the way I thought it should work. The default interface is horrible, and no is almost useless in a bright room. Don't expect to use the ...

Pros: Lighted screen and buttons, Nice software to Customize, optional docking station with battery and Price. Cons: Learning devices not in the database is sometimes hit or miss.
I bought the Phillips TSU3000 a year ago and still have it today. It is extremely customizable through the provided software that you place on your computer and transfer via USB to the remote. The display is as good as your imagination. There is no end as to it's capabilities. By no means you have to have a computer as it does have presets that you may use. After a while of surfing through pages on the remote, undoubtly you will want to set the remote up in a more efficient matter and make your own buttons and this is where the remote leaves others in the dust. I was able to make my devices no more then 2 pages making it much easier. I would buy this remote again if I ever needed to.
Over priced and not user friendly by quidycat ,Feb 01 '04
Pros: One unit for all remotes Cons: difficult to set up, not user friendly
I bought it on line with high expectations. However, the software that came with it didn't work. I had to download the updated firmware and software before the unit can communnitcate with my computer. It took a while to find the site to download, and you need to register to sign on. I got spam mails since I did it. There is no instruction on how to use the software and the manual has very limited info. For example, it tells you how to set up a macro but it doesn't tell you how to use that feature. The worst of all is that it drains batteries faster than my color handheld. It lasts less than a week if I use the back light feature. Without the backlight, the unit could last 2 weeks with 4 AAA batteries.
