We picked up this phone to replace a 900Mhz Sony that had suffered one too many drops. It seemed to be well featured for a good price and we loved the speakerphone on the handset.

Clearly this phone has numerous good features. The range is good. The dial menus are good. Even the selection of ring tones is good. I love this phone's features. Problem is, features are of little use when the BATTERY DIES. I wouldn't mind so much if the battery died in a predictable manner. But no, it goes out (without warning!) after a period ranging from 15 to 30 minutes. I've tried replacing the battery. I even tried making my own battery pack using NiMH batteries instead of NiCads, but the problem persists. Is it that the charging circuit doesn't always fully charge the battery pack? Or maybe the phone just draws too much juice? Who knows. Apparently it's a flaw in the design and not just my particular phone, as there are numerous reviews around the web complaining of the same thing. I wish it wasn't so, as I can't find another phone with a message waiting indicator that works with the stutter dial tone.
