Pros: Competitive within its price category, great equalizer control Cons: Subpar radio receptioin, some too small buttons, not enough display information
I wanted a new car deck that would allow me to play CDs, and more importantly CD-Rs that have my mp3 and wmas on them. After testing them out at the store and going through Crutchfield, I eventually settled on a deck in my price budget (~$170): ...
Pros: Plays MP3's - AND Windows Media Audio (WMA) files! Pioneer quality for a good price. Cons: Random track feature falls a bit short (read review). Changing settings is a bit awkward.
The Pioneer DEH-P4600MP - hereafter, the "4600" is yet another quality Pioneer product. Its sleek, attractive design will complement any dashboard. But while it's an attractive unit that sounds good, a few usability issues knock off a few points. ...
Pros: Great overall performance, solid design, good looks Cons: Needs dimmer control on display
I'll spare all the specification talk as it is mostly bogus anyways. 50 watts x 4....come on. I'm an old car audio fanatic from way back but as mortgage, marriage, kids came into play, the audio thing took a back seat for several years. Out of ...
Pros: Sound quality, price, functionality Cons: small buttons
For some time, I had the worst luck with car CD players. The first CD player I bought was a Pioneer unit that was stolen from my car within one week from the day I bought it. Then I had three consecutive cd players from Sony and Aiwa that came from ...
Pros: rotary volume, remote, mp3/wma, mosfet amp, 2 preouts Cons: no face plate protector, buttons could be bigger
Well I just bought this and had it installed today. So far it seems really nice. Background: When I started looking for a car deck i was initially looking for a cheap cd player like the deh-1600. I saw it on sale at best buy and went to go buy it ...
Pros: Bright
MP3 player
CD-r/RW compaitable
powerful
crisp and clean
tons of bass Cons: the volume dial got a bit loose
NO DVD PLAYER OR SCREEN! (ahahah, j/p)
got this at circuit city for about 120 from the "after holidays savings". I got the 3rd to last box and there was a huge line waiting to buy these, I was the lucky one. Well i installed the unit and it is very pretty. The blue illuminate shines very ...
Pros: plays mp3s and wma files Cons: Remote frequency is not that strong.
Well I just had this mp3 player for about 3 weeks now and it is a very good mp3 player. At first I was disappointed because when I first turned it on, it sounded bad. After adjusting all the levels, it sounded great. There are so many ways to tweak ...
Pros: Excellent sound quality, Radio tuner can pull in marginal signals Cons: No carrying case for the detachable faceplate
I purchased the DEH-P4600 to replace a Dodge factory radio that was dying a slow death. My purchase decision was based on 2 factors 1) it was sub $200 CAD and 2) the volume control didn't feel like is was a cheap after thought. Installation was a ...
Pros: MP3 CD playback. Universal Pioneer wiring harness. Cons: No dimmer. Sound quality on aftermarket speakers is horrible. Not attractive apperance with Blue backlight.
I got this head unit in a deal with some used speakers. I already had a Pioneer head unit, but figured I'd try it out since I had it and it was a bit newer than my HU (DEH-P3500) and it had MP3 CD playback. It didn't fit the color scheme of ...
This cd deck will allow you to alter your sound system like never before. An interface that takes some practice, it will allow you to experiment with different variables. A great appearance, and easy to install make this a great choice for a first time upgrader.
Pros: Great sound quality. Cons: Not good for subs. ok radio reception.
This receiver is great for the price. I bought it cause I was desperate for a cd player and I am one to only go with Pioneer. I am sold on their head units. I unfortunately have to sell this one after having it for only 6 months. It is a user friendly head unit. Puts out a great sound. There are 2 things that I am a little disappointed in. One is that it does not have a HPF or a LPF I need that for my new subs that I put in. Another thing is that the radio reception is not the greatest. I would defenately recommend this product to anyone who is not going to put any subs in their vehicle or to anyone who lives where there is not great radio reception, but to everyone else i highly recommend.
Pioneer DEH-P4600 In-Dash CD/MP3 player by c5vert ,Jul 06 '04
Pros: good head unit for the money. pioneer has always been a good value for me. Cons: useless features, not the easiest thing to use, $hitty tuner reception.
the major faults i find with this unit are $hitty am/fm tuner reception, too many useless features, and no case for the detatchable faceplate. it has many good features, but also many useless things like the Front Image Enhancer and BMX/compression. however, it is an overall decent head unit, excellent sound quality, plenty of internal amp power yet clean enough to make even my factory speakers sound decent. front and rear RCA outputs provide clean signal to external amps. the parametric equalizer gives excellent sound control. it also plays the mp3/wma files without disc reading hesitation.
Pros: MP3/WMA, FIE (Front Image Enhancer), sound quality Cons: Volume knob and bad radio reception, but that's what cd's are for.
I had this for about a year and a half and it did what I needed it to. I ran a L7 and a set of CDT components off of it for a month or so. The volume knob started messing up. For instance, when i would turn the volume up fast the screen would shut off. Now it's in my dad's truck and it's great for his country music. I never had any complaints really.
