Pros: Voice and music recording, very crisp sound. Cons: Price, awkward interface.
Almost a year ago, I was looking for an inexpensive digital voice recorder. When I found the RipFlash I considered the mp3 player feature to be just an additional bonus. Over the months, I realized that I lucked into a very solid mp3 player with several ...

Pros: Small, light, solid state (not a hard drive), effective, looks good Cons: Terrible manual, counter-intuitive user interface, no carrying case/strap
I have been using my PogoProducts RipFlash 128 for several months now, and I have to say that I am very impressed. It really satisfies my needs, and I have been impressed. It isn't the most user friendly product on the planet, and there are lots of ...

Good hardware, terrible soft
by stupakov ,Apr 08 '04
Pros: Good player, nice quality. Cons: Terrible software, no upgrages.
I am happy with my RipFlash player, which replaces for me a CD player. What I am not happy about is software which uploads files to the player, a so called "MP3 Manager". The software has not been updated for the last couple of years. It is buggy (the buttons in the Manager window are displaced relative to the text and I have to guess which one does what). The most disgusting thing is that there are later versions of the MP3 Manager on the POGO site, but they work only with later versions of the players. This is an example when the company does not care about old customers who bought their products, the companies goal to sell new, more expensive units. For this reason I am telling myself that I will never buy another POGO product.

This player has great sound...

This player has great sound and supports a second 128mb smart card. It feels good, has a nice matt finish and fits in pockets nicely.
I would have liked a playlist feature but I guess that's a lot to ask for the size and price.
The PC software installed easily and the downloads are faster than I expected. They are faster than anything else I have seen.
So, all in all I would say this is an excellent mp3 player.
