I have really enjoyed my player. I watch it quite often. I bought it to pass time when I have long waits for appts. etc. This is the second one I have had in 2 years and it has just went out on me. Both were the same problems they stop reading the dvds. It says no disc. I took alot better care of the second one thinking I didnt do a very good job with the first, I bought an expensive dvd cleaning disc and used it about once a week. I really like the product but I just dont think it was built to last.

The picture was great (for 8 months).

Be attentive when playing in folded position(mounted on back of headrest),the battery would get hot and cause the picture to go out. The picture would return when cooled, or in open/unfolded position.

Also, there were some functions that could only be operated by remote - still puzzled on that one.

After eight months, mine began to loose contact to the power (both ac & battery)and would go out over a bump or slight touch. Now it doesn't work at all. BUT I bought an replacement warranty ($45), and was refunded. I NEVER buy extended warranties-but for portable DVD players, I would get one.

Pros: clarity of picture, ease of operation, swiveling screen, sound quality good. price competitive.
Cons: Have not tried the battery yet. No problems so far.

Received for a graduation gift. love the picture, the swivel. So far no problems at all . Got the 8 inch screen very clear picture and great color. Haven't needed the battery yet as I have only used at home and car.

I bought this for my children, we travel a lot and it comes really handy. One of the best buys so far, it works great, my 3 year old operates it himself so it says a lot about how easy is to operate and how sturdy it is.

I am not an electronics person! That being said I just received this DVD two days ago for my son. I checked Target and it was $349.00 So i figured it was a pretty good one, Walmart had it for $267. It arrived in great shape love the fact the screen turns, comes with a remote as well. Sound is very good in house, and my sons watches it in his room at night but as most portable DVD's in the car I think all need to improve in sound as I have heard other brands in the car too. No problems yet and am very happy would buy it again./ Hope this helps.
