The Rio PMP300, Good for Pirates

by FoonLord , Mar 25 '00
Pros: Cheap, Easy to move, Lightweight
Cons: Little storage, sucks down one AA at a time very quickly
I bought a rio 300 on ebay.com. It is very good for me, one who does not want to buy cds. I just download mp3s, and stick 'em on my rio, and off I go. It's even better with flash memory cards, which allow it to hold more mp3s. I know downloading certain...

Very portable and versatile MP3 music!

by aflaw , Jan 28 '00
Pros: Small size, ease of use, overall quality
Cons: Bad encoding software, no belt clip
The Diamond Rio PMP300 has been on the market for some time and was the first MP3 player to emerge, setting the stage for all subsequent products once the legal wranglings with the Recording Industry Association of America were worked out. Despite its...

Pros: Small Size
Cons: Lack of memory
The Diamond Multi Media Personal Music Player 300 is a match box sized music player that plays compact disc quality music with no skipping, all because of the fact that it has no moving parts. The design is flawless, it makes playback easy with the push...

And they... Score!

by TommyGrrlX , Dec 10 '99
Pros: Great sound, super easy interface
Cons: Not enough base memory
First off, lemme say this: It's worth the money... I love mp3's because I can sample tracks before I buy them... Or, put my CD's on to my computer and then have the CD upstairs... Great! But when I didn't have the CD, it sucked when I wanted to hear a...

by azimhusain , May 20 '00
Pros: large capacity, easy to use
Cons: not very ergonomical
Definitely worth buying. One of the classic MP3 players that have managed to keep its status as the best. Rio MP3 is known everywhere. Not an amazing design but it holds quite a large capacity of music, plays excellently, sips on the battery...

by tarkin789 , Mar 18 '00
Pros: fast and easy to use and you can use it anywhere!
Cons: comes with only 32mb of space
I received my Diamond Rio PMP300 for my birthday this past January, and I have to admit that I was initially not very excited about getting it. I mean, I am on my computer several hours every day, and I already had over 100 mp3 songs that I loved on my...

Rio PMP300/Great for Running

by untamedkb , Sep 13 '99
Pros: Zero skipping, any song you want, long battery life.
Cons: No back lit display and not very loud.
I bought the Rio about 3 months after it was first released. I am glad that I bought this over any other format of portable audio. It beats anything out there! CD's, mini-disc, tape can't compare.

The Rio is great for running or any other...

Great for a Music Lover

by heychris , Feb 24 '00
Pros: small, last hours on end with 2 AA's, CD quality sound
Cons: cost
This is a great product for a music lover. It is relativity cheap. It’s an alternative to buying a CDR drive, since you can get your mp3’s into a portable audio form without burning a CD. This was perfect when I went on a trip. I just used their software...

Love the Product

by ophiesay , Aug 05 '99
Pros: light/compact form
Cons: software a bit confusing
I got the product in the fall of 1998 because of its novelty - I was pleasantly surprised at the usability and sound quality. Although the RIO has limited storage, it was enough for a long run or workout at the gym.
Pros:
1) very light,...

Personally I am really happy with this product. It works great and has a nice feature set. I am not saying that you can't find something better but I doubt you will find it for the same price.
