Pros: skipfree, clear sound, long battery life, small Cons: could have more base memory
I bought my Rio on 11/5/99. I have to admit I wanted it alot sooner, but it was kinda expensive. I finally got it on sale for 125.00. Even before I opened the box, I had went ahead and bought more memory. a 16 meg chip so over all I now have 48 megs...

Pros: Small, great with batteries Cons: Skip-free, ya right
I have mixed concerns about the rio 300. Ok, i bought it and it came with a rebate for a nice 50 dollars. Well its been 6 months and still no money. The player itself has a great disign and is very small, it fits in your pocket with plenty of space...

Pros: Small, no skip Cons: too touchy buttons, low vol
YO, ok heres the 411 on the rio PMP 300. It is very sleek and cute, but the buttons are very touchy(i mean very sensetive). An exampe is like when you put it in your pocket, when the buttons brish against your leg they make the buttons do the...

Pros: Rio One w/ 128Mb extension a good value Cons: Build quality is near crap
I received a Rio PMP300 (parallel port) as a present back in 1999, and just bought a Rio One (USB) in April 2002 as a birthday gift. Both are the same design, SonicBlue just ugpraded the interface to make it more practical.
With the cheap cost...

Pros: no skipping, pocket sized, nice headphones Cons: minimal memory, limited on memory upgrade
Unless you buy a memory card (and the max size card is 64 megs is believe) you're stuck with 10 songs, unless you compromise the quality of the music your rip.
It does have excellent RIO quality sound and the cable used is kinday flimsy...

Pros: Light, nice to take MP3s with you Cons: Requires a full computer system to put music on it
Make no mistake, I like my Diamond Rio. But it is just like a Palm Pilot (actually worse, since it doesn't record new music without the computer attached).
If you already have a bunch of MP3s on your PC because you like listening to music at...

Pros: lightweight, good sound, battery incld., Cons: still pricey, only 1 hr of music, headphones blow.
diamond rio pmp300.
finally a product that brings together the most current technology with a 'blue collar' appeal. many times people have asked me what else is a computer good for? maybe an occasional email, a random resume, and...

Pros: Small, compact, and very functional. Cons: Battery door is a bad design
I got this MP3 player for free when I upgraded to Windows XP, so I admit that I did not have much of an emotional investment to the product.
Once I saw how easy it is to hook the MP3 player to Windows XP, and simply drag and drop files back...

Pros: Inexpensive. Easy to use Cons: Cheap plastic parts. Lack features
If you want an mp3 player for cheap these days, this one is an excellent choice. You can probably find one on ebay for $50 or less.
The sound quality is okay. You might want to get your own headphones, as the ones they give you are pretty...

Pros: Lightweight, inexpensive, decent for the money. Cons: Bad sound quality, slow uploading, not enough memory, cheaply built.
I purchased the Rio 300 2 years ago ('99) for $169.99, probably the biggest waste of money I've ever had. The first thing I notice about this thing is how light and cheap it really is. The plastic isn't durable at all: if you look at it the wrong way,...

Pros: good sound and cheap Cons: battery life...dont lie about it
This product is pretty light, it's design is ugly...the sound quality is not that bad, the battery life is said to be 12 hours long...but when i used the new duracell ultra it lasted only 5 hours of continuous play ( i left my earphones on the loudest...

Pros: Small, effective, easy to use! Cons: Not the largest file storage
Well, I bought this when it was the first and ONLY mp3 player on the market. I used it then and it worked fien and I can still use it today. Yes, there are some nicer ones that hold larger amounts of files, but as the pioneer of a very popular device, I...

Pros: It's just great Cons: No complaints here

Pros: Stable, Lightweight, Inexpensive Cons: Pricey upgrades
I purchased on rebate from beyond.com, at a total cost of $50 for me. I enjoy using it, and its ability to play without skipping. The lack of a disc or tape to insert is also nice. It's a great way to listen to music when you're working out, or on a...

Pros: Low price Cons: Have less memory so I have to reduce the quality of my music
Portable MP3 players was the best thing in music invite (beside the CDs) and this product may be the best one out there. Out of all other players, this may be the most affordable. When I shop around on the net, I always see MP3 players over $200 and I...
