Pros: No moving parts!! It just gets better Cons: A 128 mb of memory card wouldn't hurt
The minute I received my RIO mp3 player, I wouldn't let go of it. It was the only audio device smal enough to fit into my pocket while working at my job. It's so small and easy to use. Besides it only takes one battery. I remember going to the...

Pros: Great sound, super easy interface Cons: Not enough base memory
First off, lemme say this: It's worth the money... I love mp3's because I can sample tracks before I buy them... Or, put my CD's on to my computer and then have the CD upstairs... Great! But when I didn't have the CD, it sucked when I wanted to hear a...

Pros: Ability to backup cd's, No skipping Cons: only 32 megs of ram
The Rio only comes with a 32mb ram for holding the mp3s that you have,
this wouldnt even come close to holding a whole album, if it came with more ram it would be kinda cool. Allthough the Rio does have a good side... it allows you to be able to...

Pros: inexpensive when you find a deal Cons: unreliable
I purchased my player as introduction into the MP3 music genre. The player was great as a workout buddy. It is small, lightweight, inexpensive, and held about 45 min. worth of music on a battery that could last anywhere from 8 to 10 hours...depending...

Pros: smaller than cd player, no skipping Cons: only holds certain number of songs, expensive
MP3 players are great. If you hate buying a cd for about 20 bucks, then listening to 2 or 3 of the songs for a week and then getting tired of it than this is for you. Although the cost upfront seems like a lot you get a lot for it, you can go on the...

Pros: Small Size Cons: Lack of memory
The Diamond Multi Media Personal Music Player 300 is a match box sized music player that plays compact disc quality music with no skipping, all because of the fact that it has no moving parts. The design is flawless, it makes playback easy with the push...

Pros: light, small, last hours on a single battery Cons: not enough memory
I have got to say that it is great that they have made the most popular audio type portable. The Diamond Rio Mp3 player is a hit but it lacks the power to make it a icon of this decade. Though it is light, portable and is not a battery guzzler, it's...

Pros: Your music on the go! Cons: bit pricey for most people
Gone are the days of tapes, you can't get the awesome audio you want out of them and they are also annoying when you want to listen to one song and not the next. Gone are the days of cd's also they are great for you can burn the songs you want on them,...

Pros: BI-DIRECTIONAL data transfer, the SE doubles the memory and fixed some of the EQ problems of the original RIO. Reasonably priced. Cons: Yeah, slower parallel port transfers (but screw that SDMI nonsense!), still pretty expensive
(Updated 4/21/00) The thing Diamond doesn't want you to know about the RIO is that it can transfer data bi-directionally!
I've owned both the Rio and the Rio SE. The original Rio was a bit anemic on memory, but the newer Rio SE takes care of...

Pros: started fad, great look, great function Cons: not too much memory, not much expandibility
The Diamond Rio 300 offers great form factor and function. I like it for it's sleek pager like design and user friendly control pad. With only 32 MB on on board RAM it is a little limited however it still follows the function. Now, you will be told that...

Pros: Cheap, Easy to move, Lightweight Cons: Little storage, sucks down one AA at a time very quickly
I bought a rio 300 on ebay.com. It is very good for me, one who does not want to buy cds. I just download mp3s, and stick 'em on my rio, and off I go. It's even better with flash memory cards, which allow it to hold more mp3s. I know downloading certain...

It weights no more than one grams, It takes no more than one battery to run it. Yes, it is the Rio PMP300. As far as I know, it is the lightest music device I have ever purchased. It is also very affordable. When I first bought it, it cost around...
