Pros: Really Really Good Quality Cons: to much money for new music
This product is truly one of the best products in the Market of portable entertainment. It is unreal to think that something this small can hold so much music and is guaranteed not to skip. I snowboard on a regular basis and i have found this...

Pros: Well priced, Easy interface, Changeable faceplate... Cons: Only 32 MB of memory, Won't work with Windows 95, No belt clip...
Diamond Multimedia's Rio line of MP3 players has always been topnotch and the latest iteration, the Rio 600, proves no exception. The nifty-looking Rio 600 also offers detachable faceplates, allowing users to customize its appearance (although they are a...

Pros: Light, fits in palm, no skipping Cons: Have to buy proprietary 'backpack' to extend memory
I received a Rio 600 as a gift recently, and when I was done jumping up and down, I opened up the box to play with it.
Usability
My first impression was amazement at how compact and light it was. It fits in the palm of my hand, and...

Pros: great sound quality, light + portable, easy to use, cheap Cons: not enough RAM Doesn't work after 11 hours of use!
When I first got the Rio 600, I was amazed with the great sound quality and overall features. On this mp3 player, the music sounded better than if it were coming straight off of the cd. The thing I like best about mp3's is that they never skip unlike a...

Pros: Conceptually sound, small, lightweight, promising Cons: Flawed in execution, flimsy, watch out for those defects!
I liken the Rio 600 to the 2002 New York Mets: On paper, they are quite a contender.
If any of you had the unpleasant privilege of watching that team this year, you knew the execution was just flawed.
Same thing with the Rio 600....

Pros: Style, speed and function Cons: Price and memory (or lack of)
In February I went to the local (an now non existent) Wards to see how their closing sale was going. I picked up all kinds of deals but this had to be one of the best. I got the Rio 600 for $60. I didn't know too much about portable MP3 players, but I...

Pros: This MP3 player is the best I could find Cons: Basic memory can't hold much
This player was my best buy in a long time. The appearance was the first thing that attracted me, weighing so little you can bearly feel it, so small it fits into the palm of your hand and the inter-changeable plates on the front. I was drawn in, and I...

Pros: beautiful & cool design, very cheap, expandable memory Cons: unstable software, inaccurate battery gauge, comes with low memory
I bought this MP3 player about a year ago at my university's bookstore. I think they had mispriced it or something because it was only $29.00 (this includes a 20$ rebate, which i actually got back).
Mine is the 32 MB version, which is just...

Pros: Small and lightweight. Cons: 32Meg is not enough memory to warrant purchase price.
Based on looks alone the Diamond Rio PMP600 looks like a winner. It's unfortunate that inside it's oddly shaped blue shell there isn't much. Visually appealing...but I wouldn't pay $165.00 for it.
Memory
Probably the biggest...

Pros: Stylish, plays many types of formats! Versatile, interchangeable faceplates! Expandable! Cons: 32mb equals one 12 song cd! Not anybetter than a cd/mp3 player! expensively expandable!
Bought this a few years ago! Mainly bought it because it was versatile, I didnt know much about MP3 and should have done my research! 32mb is not enough, not even 64! I had the 32 mb one and could get about a 12 song cd on it with average quality music! ...

Pros: Great display, Light weight, Plays WMA, Very user friendly software Cons: Short battery life, Strange humming noise at low volumes.
The Rio 600 was my first venture into the world of mp3 players. On first impressions the Rio 600 is a well built and sturdy machine. The LCD display is clear and informative, displaying information such as the bitrate, track title, time remaining etc....

Pros: Easy to use, affordable, practical Cons: Battery Life is very short
I wanted an MP3 player that was small and portable so I could listen to music while I work or exercise. I was not particular about top quality sound or the latest features and technology.
For $200 at Best Buy, I received the Rio600 with 3...

Pros: Nice looking, easy to use, great sound Cons: Breaks in weeks, Serious design problems
I purchased this unit at Circuit city because it was marked to $99, less $80 worth of rebates (so, $20) - too good to pass up. I was really happy with it for about 10 days, until it suddenly stopped working. Tried a new battery and - nothing. Brought...
