I paid $249 for my Yepp 700 mp3 player in July of 2002...Nov. of 02 it stopped working. I sent it in to Samsung and got a run around for 3 months, FAXed my bill of sale 4 times and was told that the serial # was missing (it is a sticker on the back I believe)...They will not repair it under warranty, but will charge $240 to fix it...COMPANT POLICY...not customer support. Do what you want but I would avoid it...in fact, I will never buy another Sansung product!!!!

The player, for some reason, decided to stop working after two hours of use(STOP displayed in the LCD display) I was able to get the player working again for an hour or so after I erased all songs and copied them back into the player's memory. I spent about half an hour on the phone with Samsung support but they where unable to help me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Overall like the player itself and thought it a good value; however, I found the software awkward to learn to use.

The software is ok. The battiers last about 6 hours until needing charged at full volume. But it comes with a nice second battery (AAA) that you can connect on the side also (nice). The volume will not hurt your ears. (its not super loud). You might want to play the unit before you buy it to see if its ok with you. Now the bad side, after 29Days the remote control locked up and would not work (it was stuck in hold). Dont know if I did this with all my sweet or the remote just locked up all by its self. I returned the unit and got a new one with a FM remote control. I go to the gem now without the remote and just plug the ear plugs into the unit. The unit itself is solid! (in the case). But the remote is a little bit on the "you better take care of it side". All in all this is a very nice unit and short of a unit with a hard drive that you cant take to the gem for work outs, this is the best player out there.

One of the best mp3 players on the market. But samsung forgot to provide its users with something called as customer service. My player worked well for around six months till I accidentally dropped it...thanx to its weight and hard mettalic case there's is no way it can survive the smallest of falls. I have been trying to get in touch with samsung service centre here in my country (India) but they do not respond. Guys buy the player for what it is....but do not expect any service from samsung

this unit has all the gadgets and gizmo's one could want. glad i made the choice of this one. Already liked their phones and now with the mp3 player recorder, they have a customer for life. Support was great as well could not get my computer to recognize this unit and called the csr dept. and they helped me through it with no problem.
