If you're into action games, you should get this, if you're into hand to hand combat games, you should get this, if you're into adventure games, you should get this.
If you're not into any of those you should still get it because it's a great game play experience with the prince of persia.
The controls are phenomenal, the moves of the prince are great, the environments are beautiful and graphic quality is superior.

The first thing i have to say about Prince Of Persia is the graphics.the graphics in the game will stand the test of time.the storyline will get you hooked.you are a prince and you let out the sands of time.now you are the one that has to save everyone.i loved how i can reverse time if something goes wrong.what else i liked was the fighting style.You can run up people's backs and slash there face.The only thing that got me mad is the puzzle part of the game.You can sit in a room wondering what to do for HOURS.Other then that this is a game that cant be missed.

Prince of Persia is in my top 5 games played on the PS2. Combat can be a little cheap sometimes but the graphics, puzzles and overall look & feel of the game was fantastic. I'm sure this will kick off a game dynasty much like to Metal Gear.

Main Pro
The highlight of the game is of course the wall runs / jumps / swings that seem just slightly out of physical bounds due to smooth animation.

Main Con
There are great acrobatic combat elements here. Unfortunately this is one of those games where combat goes flawlessly or terrible (need to reload) wrong. My main gripe is the dagger of time resets each time you kill an opponent. So if fighting four enemies - you kill one and then the other three start giving you a rough go, it would be nice to back up and block that first attack - but, no dice, the dagger only takes you back until you killed that first enemy.

Bottom line: Prince of Persia 9.5 out of 10. Looking for PofP 3!!!

The game was very addictive and fun. There were a few tricky levels but overall it was a great game. Even though I played it five years after the release date I will definitely try to complete the series and I hope that others are just as fun.

Prince of Persia is a challenging gravity defying masterpiece. Just in some parts of the game the camera will get hung behind a curtain or start shaking behind a wall or rock.

Where other games have failed this game exceeds them and go way beyond. Having played this game back in the SNES days, I didn't expect much given all the failed attempts of other titles at making the transition from 2D to 3D. Man,was I wrong. This game is simply fantastic. Giving players the nostalgic feelings of past games. With innovative gameplay like time reversal and precision control, this game is a must buy for all game players...
