Pros: Amazing Price, Great Quality, Total Connectivity Cons: No USB cable included
This printer is amazing, kudos to Epson. The 740's major advantage is it's connectivity. Not many inkjet printers have parallel, serial, and USB ports. This enables the printer to be connected to the most modern Macs and PC's as well as legacy machines...

Pros: Great detail, high dpi Cons: ink!
My dad got this printer at Price Club for about $120. It rocks. While the ink does cost a pretty penny, it produces results that completely blows away any laser printer. Full color print papers take a minute or two, and the results are photographic....

Pros: grrrrreat photo quality Cons: usb interface problems
The Stylus 740 printer by Epson is the perfect companion to a digital imaging device like scanner or camera. The quality of the photo prints (1420x720) is GREAT on photo paper. Being a casual photographer, the 740 has been able to produce images that...

Pros: Easy to use, good quality, cost. Cons: None
My Epson has worked so well with my Power PC at home, that when my daughter went to college I purchased one for her IMac. We both love our Epson.
The set-up instruction that came with the printer were very easy to follow. They step you...

Pros: Great photo printing, great price. Cons: ink consumption.
I've owned this printer for about a year now, and I think it's awesome. For under $150, you get fantastic photo printing. You can crank up the quality all the way to 1440 dpi. My friends and family are always amazed at the photos I print from my...

Pros: The printouts are great! The quality is very good and the price is very affordable. Cons: I do not like the single tank for my color ink. I like the individual colors like the Cannon has.The ink last longer when you have individual colors to replace and not a single tank like the Epson has.
I have an Epson 740. This is the second Epson that I own, I also have an Epson 500.
The printer takes a beating and keeps on printing. I do not have much trouble with my printer, it is used all the time and for everything. You can be surprised what...

Pros: Easy to set up, easy to use Cons: Poor reproduction of color photos, NOISY
Less than a year ago, I was in the market for a color printer. After hours of research, I settled on the Epson Stylus Color 740, mainly, because it showed such a high rating in a consumer magazine. They stated that its reproduction of color photos was...

Pros: good all purpose printer Cons: Detection problems with colors and paper
Everyone I know told me I had to get an Epson constantly. So when my Hewlett Packard Broke, I went to Comp USA and bought myself an EPSON Stylus 740. This thing is great. It prints relatively fast. It is easy to install and reinstall new colors. The...

Pros: none Cons: cheap
We got our Epson 740 last year. It had trouble since 2 months after we got it. I called the company several times, because they have a replacement garauntee, but they never offered to replace it. They implied it was operator error.
The problem...

Pros: ink level indicators when printing Cons: died prematurely, slow to get started
At first, I was so pleased to get a new Epson 740 to use in our office at school. But, within four months, it died -- kerplunk -- it just wouldn't feed paper. I don't know what went wrong, and in all fairness, it may have been fine after a repair. But,...

Pros: Great value compared to an HP Ink-Jet P2200. Cons: Ink cartridges are expensive.
Whoa, Nellie! This printer first came out in '00, and since then there have been lots of 'power sales' by retailers trying to close them out. Let me tell you, my daughter has the HP P2200, and there is NO COMPARISON.
I was able to snag this...

Pros: Great print quality. Easy to use. Cons: USB issues when used with ME.
Okay, probably just like most everyone else, I love my Epson printer most of the time. The only time I dislike it is whenever I have to buy more ink for it. The ink is expensive and the cartridges do not last very long.
The really great thing...

Pros: Great print quality. Cons: Stupid design wastes ink. Ink cartridges are expensive.
This printer, like all Epson printers I've seen, produces good results when it's working right. If a person used this printer every day or at least once a week they would probably never run into problems aside from the exorbitant price of replacement ...
