I am a Soldier serving overseas and this is great we are now able to produce our own personalized cards and photos for Soldiers family's. The quality of the photos this produces is really unbelievable, postcards, greeting cards, photos for loved ones all come out great it is truly a wonderful product. We have one good photographer who can produce photos of the same or greater quality than the sample photo provided. The key to great pictures is taking great pictures. But for snap shots everyday pictures this printer is excellent quality and better than the quality of photo development we have available here. No computer needed you can edit,create,print all from one machine. Does Sony cost a little more, yes, but you get your money's worth with this item.

Pros: Great for making pictures if you're an Oompa Loompa.
Cons: Just plain doesn't print as well as they claim.

I purchased this printer in October 2003 for a friend and when we tried to use it, the people's faces were orange and their teeth were yellow. We sent it to Sony at our expense for repair, and it came back with the same issues. At this time we sent it back to Sony again and it did not return for over 3 months. Finally, after several phone calls, we received a replacement because they couldn't fix the original printer. The communication with customer service was very poor. I would not recommend purchasing this printer, and have no plans to purchase from Sony again.
