California CA800 Car Amp

Pros: Good power for the price. Got mines brand new for $103.00 on eBay.
Cons: Cant bridge it down to 2 ohms.

I first bought this amp to run my 6x9's.But never received them yet so i hooked it up to one of my 12" type r . I was very surprised at the power it put out. It pushed my 12" type R really good. Almost as good as my Kicker KX500.2 i previously had before some low life stole it. I couldn't bridge it to get a 2 ohm load because the manual says not to. If your on a budget and looking for good power i would suggest this amp for powering a pair of 10's or something that doesn't need a butt load of power. Id choose it over the lesser brands out there too.

Pros: Warranty through crutchfield, quality, finish, power, and value.
Cons: Cannot be bridged down to a 2 ohm load. Somewhat bulky.

I purchased this amp new from www.crutchfield.com for $169 and I absolutely love it. I seen this amp advertised on other websites for less money but I have bought from crutchfield before and they also offer a 3 year warranty on this amp which you can not find anywhere else. Standard warranty on this amp is one year so I figured I could justify the extra money for the extra long warranty. I have two 10" DEI Studio subs in an enclosed box and this amp makes them hit hard. I have the amp brideged down to 600watts X 1 at 4 ohms. My subs are rated at 300 watts RMS each so this works great. The style and finish of the Profile CA800 is very nice also. It has a nice aluminum finish with a bright red led light on top when powered up. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on amps without sacrificing quality, I would highly recommend Profile.
