Pros: Controls six devices, easy code search, broad range of device compatibility Cons: Button labels easily rub off, has bad habit of randomly "forgetting" codes programmed into it

Pros: none Cons: will not stay programed
As the previous review said this remote will not hold codes. I have tried two different ones and they both lost their programing in sometimes a day or two, but often several times a day.

Doesn't Hold Up
by rrochester ,Jan 10 '06
Pros: Works channels, menu, guide correctly. Cons: Unreliable for maintaining TV Code.
I've had this model universal remote for 5 plus years as part of the RCA satellite receiver DirecTV package and have found it unreliable for maintaining the code for my TV. It has gotten worse the last two years. We have to reload the code several times a day. But it hasn't been reliable in maintaining the code since day one. Only the automatic code seeking feature works. Also, its code for our TV, an MGA (Mitsubishi), has never worked the volume correctly. You must continually press the button to move the volume up or down and the mute has never worked. We know the volume function in the TV works correctly because the manual buttons on the TV work like they're supposed to work.
