Last year I purchased the R J Tech R J 3600 DVD player. It was my understanding that the 3600 is a progressive scan unit that plays DVD-R and DVD-RW. The R J 3600 does not play DVD-R or DVD-RW! When I contacted R J Tech they claimed that the 3600 ...

Pros: great features
Cons: poor quality, worst customer service ever. I lost $200

The features of this player are great, I loved it for about 4 weeks. Now, unfortunately I had 6 players in total (!) and all of these broke down. 15 months later I still do not have a working player and have given up.... When I asked the question to their Customer Care: "what would you do if you were me" he answered "I would probably go to court". Also he said: "We cannot afford postage on return shipment of all players that break down"

Added up:
- 15 months
- 6 players
- paid return shipping myself 3 times
- Lost 2 DVD's stuck in the player
So in total over $200.... these guys are lucky I do not live in California or have the time to visit.
