Great Phones For The Price.

by cmdr , Sep 14 '05
Pros: Lightweight. Excellent sound.
Cons: Short cord. They don't make that "Boom-Tizz" sound which a lot of people like.
I wasn't planning on buying a new set of "cans" on my last trip to Radio Shack I was actually setting out to get replacement headphone pads for my previous RS pair but these caught my eye as they'd been reduced from $39.99 to $19.99. I figured I'd give ...

Super sound for how much they cost

by frootloopuk , Jul 29 '07
Pros: Relatively Low Price, Lightweight, Comfortable, Have Lasted Well
Cons: Feel 'Flimsy' , Fairly Short Cable
I bought these headphones to replace the completely devoid of bass earbuds that were supplied with my then new iPod mini. Ive always been happy with the sound from these relatively cheep phones having used them mostly on higher bitrate MP3/AAC ...

Awesome sound for the price
by quadracer12 ,Jul 03 '08
Pros: Sound quality, doesn't get your ears sweaty
Cons: ear pieces stretch easy on long sessions
The sound quality of these headphones is exceptional. I don't like wearing headphones, but when i want to hear rich bass and defined highs the way music was meant to be heard i throw on the Pro 35A. I was extremely surprised how much i like these, awesome for the price. I have not experienced the quality problems that others have expressed and generally just throw them in a backpack without taking care. Also I have had them for 3 years, and they're still kickin. Got em on sale for 20 bucks, best 20 bucks i ever spent.

Pros: None
Cons: -short cord. -broke after 3 years. -over priced. -I don't like the sound quality.
I have never been happy with these headphones.
I prefer the sound from the headphones that came with a $20.00 portable disk player from Wal-Mart.

Radio Shack Pro 35A Titanium headphones
by gripshift ,Dec 26 '05
Pros: excellent sound
Cons: poor quality resulting in short life span
$39/new. Although these sound quite good, they don't last very long. After a few months of moderate use they start making transient noises, which sounds like loose parts/wires vibrating. The same thing happened to 2 different pairs that I owned.

Better than the 35T's.
by soldano7 ,Sep 27 '06
Pros: Great sound, excellent price. Cheaper and better than the 35T Model.
Cons: None.
I returned a set of Koss PRO35t's that I paid $40 for when the right speaker started hissing after owning them for a week. The clerk actually gave me the 35a set by mistake. I realized the mix up after I got home that night when it was to late to go back to the shack. I decided to use them on my PC that night and exchange them in the morning. Much to my surprise, they sounded considerably better than the T's.
Excellent sound throughout the range. They don't have the "tinny" highs that the 35t's have. I know the drivers are the same, but the way they pack them is different and it gives them a much better sound. I am listening through an X-Fi Extreme setup and they sound beautiful. I am quite impressed. I went back the next day and had them credit my card the $20 difference and kept the 35a's.

Good cans
by k0ucNew Member ,Oct 31 '09
Pros: Awesome sound.  Durable.  Volume control works well and seems to last and not get scratchy/dirty
Cons: The only thing I don't like is the short cord
I love these headphones. Make sure to buy 'em at $20 and not $40.  Though I don't know if they even sell them anymore.
